Incorrect! Although his episodes were less frequent and less pronounced, this started before the election. Remember when he “wouldn’t come out of the basement”? Media has been covering for him since the DNC decided to install him as the candidate. Many people have forgotten his outbursts. Early signs included him threatening not just to take Trump “behind the gym” but also threatening constituents in one on one exchanges. That’s why the media had to work overtime painting him as a “sweet old man.” The duplicity and complicity were astounding if you saw it then or watch again with hindsight.

They always had an answer that made it seem that any criticism was unfounded and rude. They even had many Republicans believing their stories. Trump may have gone about it the wrong way, but he certainly tried to call attention to Biden avoiding debates. He knew, then, that Biden was struggling, but even he couldn’t convince most people that Biden was more than just stuttering and fumbling. He was in early stages of a rapid decline.
