I love the contrast among the different hermits and their willingness to share details of their life: We know Joel's name and his wife's names and faces, we know his favourite word (it's c*nt), and we have seen their living room and offices. Grian has a wife who dislikes his nerf gun. We know his face and the faces of his cats. He has a garden. Etho... The man took a photo of his computer setup recently and the biggest reveal about him in the 13(!) years he's been doing letsplays is that he uses a kleenex box as a microphone stand. For all we know he could be a moose.

Living with someone who doesn't like cats for many years, I eventually realized that they themselves were a lot like a cat (and specifically the things they didn't like about cats). I think Bdubs is also like a cat. (or the idea of a cat that some people have) Once I realized it, it became funny instead of confusing.

I used to have cats. They were brothers and Iago and Rajah, my sister and I were going through an Aladdin phase at the time. I was in 7th grade when we first got them, and they hid under the bed the moment they were let out of the cat carrier. I had the idea of staying home while my mom went out with my sisters, I had two sister at the time, and I went downstairs to watch Star Wars. I could hear the cats moving around upstairs while I was watching the movie, and when they came downstairs, I remained focused on my movie and let them come to me by curling up on either side of me on the couch.

This reminds me of something, I'm sorry if I'm hijacking your comment My husband's youngest sister is scared of dogs, with the sole exception of their oldest sister's dog Yogi who has managed to win over *everyone* he's met. My mil isn't partial to either animal but is against having cats because her youngest son is (thankfully only mildly) allergic. She sheltered my husband and I during the recent hurricane, and since we've started joking that my cat Hestia is Yogi's cat equivalent because by the time it was safe to leave she had charmed the entire house. The kids were trying to negotiate and even their mother said she'd be okay with a cat if it were her. Everyone that's ever met her- from guests and neighbors to repair men and strangers- have tried to talk me out of my baby girl

I am a cat/dog person. I love my dog who acts like a cat. I often tell him he was meant to be a cat. He meows sometimes. When you lift him up and set him down he tries to be liquid--but he can't, because he's a dog. All he does is sleep. I love him. I put him in a bag and bring him on the train with me sometimes. He also doesn't lick!! I can't with large dogs that lick. I love my chihuahua-frenchie.

Everything is true. Etho talked in one episode (Let's play pretty sure) about one of his childhood kitties named Shadow. It was an out door cat that just got tammed by them caring for it. Then it disappeared, just gone one morning. Several months later Shadow shows up to the house with a whole litter of kittens! They were pretty feral tho, lacking the socialization of Shadow.

In one of his letsplay eps not too long ago Etho was talking about his childhood cat. I forgot the name i think it started with an S though, i remember him saying it was a black cat with super soft silky fur and at some point randomly disappeared and came back with kittens. I just found it adorable. Personally i love my dog and cat equally depending on my mood most of the time. The cat is definitely way more chill and easy to be around. My dog is good for nice walks but hes a menace any other time. Overall though horses would be my preferred pet. I do have axolotls though and theyre super cool to look at they dont do much else other than wiggle their gills and eat 😅
