I timed how long it takes for a shulker box to open, it takes on average 0.77 seconds, which means after some quick calculations the real amount of time Impulse spent opening shulker boxes was 8.46 hours. I also did some extra calculations to determine that Grian spent 4.78 hours opening shulker boxes, and Scar spent 6.39 hours opening shulker boxes.

the issue isn't opening the shulker-boxes, it's actually using them that makes the stat insane - using a shulker box can take tens of seconds on average, so you've got to multiply the hour-counts by at least 10 to even begin to get how much time the inventory management system of the game takes away.

Maybe, but then you also have to consider the time it takes to find the shulker box and if you have a chest monster you could be looking through many at a time and waiting on that half second for each one. Also if you have a shulker in your inventory you have to move it to your hotbar then place it down first. So while the time spent waiting on the animation is about half, it still goes to show how badly needed an inventory overhaul is.

You arn't accounting for the amount of time spent closing it and the fact that there is a timer in the games code allowing a limit on how many shulkers can be opened per second. It helps prevent lag.
