Not a great quality to boast about. Lining up orbiters and disrespecting their time, emotion, and self esteem. It’s called bad behavior and way less attractive than your perception. It might work to get weak men weaker in the knees, but it certainly is not nurturing. A good man will see through this attention seeking behavior, and you risk losing the very thing you think will work. Use at your own risk. No contact is just bullshit, unless it’s about moving on. It’s like a child putting their fingers in their ears and going, “Nah-Nah-Nah, I can’t hear you...” When used as a tactic to attract men, it’s just immature behavior. It’s putting people in limbo for your own sake, instead of being an adult and an effective communicator. It’s just pushing buttons and testing boundaries unnecessarily, seeing if they squirm. It’s unacceptable, weak, and the behavior of a coward. When a woman tries this on me, I say my peace and then I’m out.

No contact is not to punish the other person or whatever its made out to be, but its about you not commiting to things that dont better you! But it also lets the other person know you arent going to tolerate disrepect or any nonsense. If they choose to come back and sincerely do better great..but if they dont it reassures you that it was for the better because they never liked you anyway or cared about you. Either way your life gets better.

Coach Mac McCarthy Totally I’m the beginning she’s not looking for security but she is looking for the markers for it. Generally we are attracted to powerful men because of their resources. Most wont admit it but if a woman wants to have kids she wants a good partner. I think physical attraction is important for both men and women but a woman will consider a man who gives her the ATTENTION she needs to very HE CARES. If a woman is attracted to a cool guy she is generally not considering him as a long term prospect. Not if she has half a brain.

Good video. It's a simple concept , but its so powerful. Like in marketing, specifically micro-transactions in video games, they will label something as "limited" and people will want it more. My ex dumped me again for about the 8th time in three years, for no good reason. Every so often he would take offence to some imagined slight, and end it. I always took him back. This time however he has gone too far. I was driving him home and I asked him something about decorating or something like that, he took offence stormed out of the car and into his house (well he still lives at home with mum and dad, despite being almost 40!), he didn’t even talk to me about it, he just changed his fb profile pic, I read the comments and realised he had ended it, he then either I friended me or blocked me! I actually don’t care anymore, it happened a month ago, but I would love the chance to tell him where he can stick it. I feel I would have proper closure if I got that chance. At the end of the day, he lives with mum and dad, doesn’t drive and works in the local shop (nothing wrong with that) but putting all factors together, he was hardly a great catch, though he thought he was 🥴

Plymouth Roadrunner not Pontiac. My situation is that I screwed things up bad with my woman (not infidelity) when we planned to marry in a few months and she has my engagement ring. Killed her trust in me so now we are on a break so she has time. She thanked me for being patient and wants the same things in life I do but needs to be sure that she can deal with her lack of trust in me. Thus in no contact now and hopeful but if it doesn't work out it is my loss because I caused the situation. It DEFINITELY depends on the person. But i will say this, im currently in a new breakup and its much different from my last breakups. Im looking at older texts from my breakups that had contact and they are veryyyy cringy LOL. With The no-contact breakup i am already ready to work things out although we are not talking to each other. The other breakups we were arguing and upset with each other for yearssss. It wasnt healthy for us to be talking to each other. While i am certain my most recent ex wont come back after no-contact, im sure this is the healthiest breakup he’s ever had and that i left a good last impression on him. No contact helps with preventing further damage.

Creative Name The best breakups can also be the worst breakups. No contact is on a whole other level. The only times I’ve felt comfortable with no contact was when it just happened naturely, and I never had a ‘term’ for it. Now, I wish I didn’t know so much about dating. No contact is advanced and high risk, but it’s also cowardly. It can feel very game-y. It’s the most psychological ‘tactic’, especially if there wasn’t adequate closure, no logical explanation for going full no contact and when done on purpose, it can be spiteful. Having said that, it can also be healthy. Space is good. Feeling ignored is oppressive and feeling unwanted is unattractive, however. I think having fun and romance with honest and effective communication is always best, with no contact as an absolute last resort.

Ultimately that person wanted to be released! Lol. I dont think it would have been fair to keep calking and texting, esp since before the breakup they were quite unresponsive to me. I hope space will make my ex realize some things that werent apparent during the relationship.

I do have a question for concerning the no contact thing. I know without a doubt it works as long as the is some attraction in her view of me. I k it still excists in her. We have been friends since 2011. Together every day living with each other since 2013. Untill Aug. 5th. My point is in that time I have become very close to her entire family. They all call me family and her oldest son who lives with her is 25. Her and I are both 42. Her son has told me he looks at me like a father. If I'm in no contact with her won't be as hard as many in this situation for 1 I have healed a lot since Aug. It is nearly impossible to hold no contact with her if I'm still in contact with her family. Should I shun all of them also. If I don't, her sons and daughter and nephew among the others will continue to bring me up in daily conversations. Because as I said we are all close. I feel I need to no contact everyone to make it real. How do I handle this situation brother? Thanks for your time!

My short answer is, if it takes no contact with all to heal yourself, then do that. Tell the family members it's not personal and you still care about them, that you just need some time away from the situation. But if you want leave the door open for the 25 year old to call you with guy type stuff or advice for a personal problem, just make it clear you don't want to talk about your ex. Hope that helps. My Own Little World The ‘old days’ you would seek someone single who was local with common interests or within your circle. Options weren’t swipe-able, you’d spend more time with that particular person, and practice more patience getting to know someone. Finding someone single and ready to mingle wasn’t ‘easy and accessible’, so you’d invest more in that connection. Now, you can find any Tom, Dick, and Harry 2 towns away, ready for a seemingly carefree fling at a moments notice. You can match up with people who are single, married, or otherwise (from your couch or toilet seat) - technology allows you to be on a constant search for a bigger, better deal - the grass is always greener syndrome. There’s far less incentive to commit or spend quality time with any one in particular to get to know them. It can take years to get to know someone, but imagine how many matches you can get in 2 years time. People ‘these days’ have access to engage and replace others with countless beautiful strangers from their pocket, at a phone’s notification. One wrong move, perceived lack of interest, or miscommunication and it’s on to the next match. If you stop responding or talking, someone else (likely a beautiful and mysterious stranger) will be available and ready to pick up the slack. Unfortunately, this high-paced and rapid-fire pursuit for immediate satisfaction and validation spills over into real-life interactions. Social media platforms allow people to DM and flirt with the hottest people they have access to. It allows 2 people who would never connect otherwise, to do so. The hottest people with the best content, get more attention than they deserve. Everyone feels the need to compete and everyone wants what they can’t have. The smartphone has changed social interaction, as well as the traditionally natural ways to connect, drastically. Ignoring, ghosting, being ‘left on read’, grey-rocking, etc. has never been more prevalent. Because of so much open-access, ignoring others when they reach out has become normalized. This has also changed the way people connect and interact in person. People lack the patience to see something out. It’s easier, more curious, and exciting to have fun with the next toy rather than stick around when things get real. Everyone wants fun and would prefer not to deal with the reality that comes along with it. I’m surprised the dating ‘coach’ wouldn’t understand what you meant by “these days”. It’s pretty obvious! At least to those who know what the ‘old days’ were like... The same issues were present in the ‘old days’, but there’s no denying the impact of social platforms. It’s more of a hookup culture with the FOMO on a better match. There’s less room for understanding and for love to grow, because cutting people out of the equation is so easy, when searching for an ‘ideal’. In the past, you’d go on a date and the other person would think about it. Now, they get notifications during the date, or return home to an inbox of messages. Instead of laying in bed thinking of you, they’re chatting with, flirting with, thinking of, and setting up a date with Chad and Tyrone after your date. Courting, seducing, and falling in love is the same as it always was. However, as a society, we are more distracted as ever. Social media has elevated the collective ego and narcissism we face. People are more self-focused, seeking constant validation, getting so much attention (or the pursuit of attention) and so in love with themselves (or seeking that love they don’t possess) that they can’t love others.
