@@andyg7460 No. Do not talk to her son. This situation is between two adults. When a single mother breaks up with a man that is not the child's father. He (you) loses contact with both of them. I hope that helps. Good luck my friend.

Have you read it yet? What did she say?
@dannymcelhinny490 Жыл бұрын
@knoa1436 I did! It said, "Hey, good morning. Hope you had a decent weekend. Some stuff in my living situation has changed and was wondering if you could take any or all of the animals." Just some context. There are 3 cats and a dog. I already have two dogs and a cat. So, I said, paraphrasing, "Yeah, I can take them. I'll look at my schedule and work out a day with you to get them." She replied, "I would like to do it when the kids are not here." Also, just to clarify, they are not my kids lol. I just said, "I understand" and she said, "Thank you." The next day, she said, "I was thinking. Maybe it's easier if I come to you?" I said, "If that is easier for you that works. Also, next weekend may be best for me. Not sure what day you had in mind." She just said, "The 7th will probably work and just want to do it when the kids aren't around." I just said, "Ok, the 7th will work. They will be in safe hands here." She said, "I know. They'll be good with you. Thank you so much for taking them." I replied with, "No problem." and she replied with a heart reaction on my comment (which I did not respond further as that is a breadcrumb like Coach Lee says.) The other thing is, she did not have to ask me to take the animals as they are not mine. She also did not need to try and make plans to come over as I have her apartment key, I could go and get the animals while she is out with the kids. So, interesting situation but no communication since but she looks at my snapchat stories when she did not really before. So, I'm thinking she needs help but also wants to see me in a weird way. Just sticking with the process and doing my thing. I will be positive and civil for when she does come over. Not putting any pressure on the situation. Will keep you updated!

@dannymcelhinny490 Жыл бұрын
@KathrynPosa So, definitely forgot to update you guys. Anyway, she said that her living situation has changed and asked if I could take any, if not all, of the animals. There were 3 cats, a dog, fish, and frogs. So, anyway, I agreed to take them. She wanted to bring them to my place, rather than me going over there. She dropped off two of the cats, on my porch, in one tiny carrier, without litter boxes, food, or any essential items and did not wait for me to get home. So, I just did not react, brought the cats inside, gave then a tour of my house, and went up to Petsmart to buy litter boxes, food, food bowls, etc. The following day, she asked how the cats were. I just told her that they are doing ok and just getting used to the house. Also, I told her that I went to buy some of the stuff that they needed and not to worry about bringing that stuff. Later on, a day or so later, she asked if I could go to her place to get the rest of them. I agreed, but gave her days times that I could do it. She wasn't there and that's ok. I just got the last cat, got the fish, and frogs. I could not get the dog as that would have to be another day. She thanked me for taking them, I sent her $20 for this plug thing for the fish tank, she asked what it was for, I put it in the description through Zelle to avoid confusion and her texting. That didn't work but I told her what it was for. She said, "I don't need that" and I just replied with, "Ok." After that, I have not reached out about the dog since I have 4 cats, two dogs, fish, and frogs and, quite frankly, not my responsibility to figure all of that out. I can work with her, if she has days available. However, not going to reach out just for her to say no. Since I haven't heard from her, I'm guessing she kept the dog and have not seen her on the humane society website. Anyway, fast forward to my birthday and her family reaches out to wish me a happy birthday. She did not and that is ok. I have a weird feeling something could happen here but with recent actions, her only reaching out for when she needs something, and just overall behavior, I mean, you have to take a hard look at this. So, @coachlee, not sure what you can say about this recent experience but yeah, that's the update. I have not reached out to her and it has been almost two months since I last heard from her. I have a weird feeling I will hear from her again. She's also been more active on Snapchat, which is what we used to talk, and taking pictures of her and her kids. Normally, she would just send that to her family or my mom, when we were together. So, I can tell what they are and don't click on them. Think she is trying to bait and I have not taken a bite from her hook. Sure, it's not easy and I miss her kids. However, if she wanted to be with me, something probably would have happened by now. Anyway, if you're struggling, stay strong guys. It's not easy but eventually you start to see things that you did not see before...or you did and just ignored.

I begged my ex-boyfriend to return after he broke up with me. I tried everything and then I came across some great advice here on YT. It was on a channel called exreturno or something like that. Anyway I did everything I could to stop him from telling my friends things about our relationship that were completely false, but it didn't work. Five months later, I contacted him again to confront him about it. He responded by claiming there had been a misunderstanding and promising to clear things up by speaking with them again, which he did. We talked nonstop that day. We discussed everything. And I'm sure that as soon as we both felt our feelings again, we both understood how incomplete we would be without one another.

Another great video. I would also add NC shows you care about your ex and you're respecting their wishes. They are basically asking for space. I've been in NC for 2 months now. It sucks. I want to hear from her so bad. But I realize now if I truly do love her, I have to let her go. I have to give her the freedom to decide if she wants to come back to me or not. If she doesn't, then I only wish her the best life has to offer her. I really mean that. She's a great person and she deserves to be happy. If she ever does return to me I want to be able to show her I'm not the same anxious, needy guy I was. That's why it's important to work on yourself during NC as well, as I have been doing for weeks now. If I ever get a 2nd chance I'm not going to blow it by being the same guy I was. If she doesn't, then it'll help me with a new relationship down the road once I'm ready to date again. Anxiety is terrible. I didn't even realize I had it in relationships until my recent break up. I was so oblivious. When you are trying to make excuses to break NC that's just your anxiety talking to you. I know I've let my anxiety control me for too long. You think you're doing something good, something for someone else. But really it's just to soothe your own anxiety. My anxiety continues to try to get me to do things to try to get my ex-GF back. It's hard to fight sometimes, but I'll beat it. Now that I'm aware of it I just have to learn to fight it.

It don't work for men when women dump them. Women just move on. Look at all the no-contact success stories. Annoyingly seems like 99% are men who dumped girls, and then crawl back to them because they are needy and can't find someone else. This gives false hope to men who are dumped.

I think the greatest benefit to doing no contact is that it takes your mind off of the whole thing. There's no more planning in your head what you're going to say or do to win them back, because you've made a commitment to not contacting them. Even better if you stay off of social media. Personally I put all of our little memories and stuff up and out of sight. I didn't want to delete the pictures so I moved them to Google drive and deleted them off my phone. What you should really be thinking is that you are moving on, and this is you giving them one last opportunity(that they are unaware of) to basically prove to you they love you and actually want you. Talk is cheap, let them show you with their actions. And if they never come back, it shows you how much you truly ever meant to them in the first place.

1 year almost in 2 weeks. I can tell you that no contact helps you not give a f*** about getting back with them. You focus on what’s important. Which is your time and your own future goals. Their not apart of that because they kicked you out. Which is a good thing up to this point if you get here like me. I see a great life without her. The people in my life now fill many voids that she didn’t even fill. If she comes back I will not give in and I will not get back with her. I’m the strongest ive been even before we met. You also may experience other emotional paths (death, losing money, getting a dog, taking a vacation, moving somewhere) that they don’t even know about. Because guess what? They don’t care!!! It’s such a great realization that you don’t want someone like that in your life.

I find the following things helpful - Make a playlist of these videos and run that playlist whenever you feel the doubts come in. The "just one more day" thing has been hugely helpful more me as someone who already has a procrastination issue 😂, I'm just making it work for me. Redirect any urge for contact onto a friend or family member and pursue them instead. Or if unavailable, write a letter to your ex and destroy it rather than sending it. Finally, I use affirmations like "I owe it to myself to be disciplined" and "feel the fear and the discomfort but do it anyway."

The reason NC exists because people do not communicate their feelings anymore. That makes the loss so much bigger. Its been 7 months for me now after a 3 year relationship, and its gone forever. No contact or not, I knew she was gone forever because she was always been cold hearted even when she was not. Better happen now than after marriage. Cold heartedness never changes. But it was my mistake to ever think she was genuine, and it was the most painful thing because she literally uprooted everything we built in one instance. Hope that does not happen to anyone else.

@@biomed007 my exes parents were in her life to much… she said she lost feelings for me romantically but I was confused as I did most things right and some things wrong… I’m still in college I like to take life a little more seriously not all peaches and cream like she thinks… she wanted a lot of attention and I gave it to her id put down homework and drop all my stuff down so I can pay attention to her… I loved her so much I thought everyday was going smooth… she didn’t trust me because she had trust issues it wasn’t fair because she believed everyone’s else’s word and not mine… We’d go out and I’d pay for everything… id work my ass off she had her drivers license and never drove to my house bc her parents didn’t allow her and she wanted me to talk to her parents about it… I mean eventually one day she’s gonna drive why not right now?!?! I was putting in a 110% she devaluated me because her life was shittier than mine she only had like 5 friends would only work weekends and did not like working I gave her the tools so that way she can fix everything but she didn’t want to help her self… she wrote me love letters all the time and I loved it but is it gonna make my life easier? As far as in money or her visiting me? all she wanted was more more more if she really wanted to spend time with me she would’ve drove over to my house so that way she can spend more time with me… she never had any master goals in mind a future job a goal that she wanted to reach… she doesn’t know what she wants and I realize that I know what I want she was only holding me down but I still would care for her… I’m not saying I’m perfect but I fixed things in the relationship that she wanted me to change and still was fixing them she just didn’t wanna fix anything her self one sided relationship and the only reason I didn’t realize it was because she would cry in front of me and manipulated me even tho I told her what to do she had no motivation to fix things… I got no closure I went to her house and tried to fix things up with her.. 2 weeks I’m telling you she got a new bf the parents were comparing me to him and told me he had a full time job, and he was 26 while she’s about to turn 21… I can’t have a full time job I provided her with the most that I could’ve and my “most” wasn’t enough her parents also showed me pictures of her and her new boyfriend say how “happy” she was… if you had a daughter and she had a boyfriend for 2 years and 2 weeks later she had another boyfriend and you think that’s right ur hella trippin…sometimes I didn’t even wanna have sex and I’d have it only bc she wanted it… she used me in so many ways and now I realize I deserve better… she would tell me in arguments that I could be easily replaced by another dude that wanted to put in more effort but it was always about her and never about me because she never wanted to change… you can’t help a person that doesn’t wanna change for the better she has to much time in her hands never kept her self busy she’s waiting for a guy that’ll just move her out of her shitty ass parents house so that way she can live with him… she depends on a guy to do that for her not her self wrong attitude to have you should rely of ur self for everything not someone else and that’s where I went wrong depended on her for my happiness I didn’t realize it needed to be half and half one day she will probably realize how much of a good boyfriend I was to her but for that day I won’t be around I just need to work on my self for now as I have a dream job and a dream car something she never had herself

@Filip as much as I want to say yes because I used to check the comments myself for success stories I learned that I don’t actually want them back. She’s started posting more and more depressing stuff talking bad about herself etc she still hasn’t reached out. I met a really nice boy though that’s been super sweet to me and we’re both taking things slow because I told him about the break up. But I’m happy with him and want to see where things go I don’t really think much about my ex anymore, of course I worry about her depression that’s seemingly getting worse based on social media but it’s not my job to look out for her anymore and the door will still be open if she ever decides to reach out, I don’t think I’d take her back but I’d probably still like to remain friends

I found out my wife’s affair 21 days ago. I was crushed and lost. It took 10 days for her to ask for separation and 1 day later for divorce. We’ve been married 27 years and it took a ex fiancé 5 months to steal her heart. Limerence and the stages of that will play out but it’s heart wrenching to know it’s happening. I hope one day, with no contact, that the high jacking of my wife’s brain will stop and she will see what she’s done. All the best to you on here with other stories. I want my wife back

You’re in Love with the memory of your wife. You’re in Love with the woman that used to be yours, intimate with you and loyal to you. You are not in Love with a woman that went off and spread her legs for another man. You deserve better. She was lying and deceiving you for months. Women just don’t go and jump in bed with another man they are being sneaky and disloyal to you many many times before they actually succumb to another man’s charms. It seems like the end of the world right now because you are totally and completely heartbroken. There’s no crime in Loving somebody and desperately missing them. Let me assure you there are double the available women now then when you were 25 because women over 50 are divorced, widowed or there husbands are impotent, You are so heartbroken now but stand tall, walk forward . Let the old fiancé have her she’s not worth having. You can still be in Love with the memory, but you’re not in love with the woman who disgraced your relationship. She is not worthy of you. Find a good wholesome woman who will be 100% loyal and respectful of you and your relationship. Time cures all. Good luck, sir. She may very well regret what she did one day, but by then there will be too much sperm under the bridge. Pretend she died in a car accident and you had to have a funeral for her. She’s gone but not forgotten. You actually owe her a dozen roses although you’re not going to give them to her for showing you what kind of person she is now instead of wasting another five or 10 years of your life. be the best that you can be. Focus on your diet. Focus on your weight and exercise. Focus on sleeping properly. Better yourself and this will also help you forget about her and be more attractive to other women.

But watching your videos made me realized that we cannot force someone to stay with us if they don't want to. Hi Lee! Another great video, and some of this video does pertain to me to a point. I remember the night I left him, and the look on his face nearly made me cry. It was like a bomb hit him, but I did it to SAVE MY LIFE. It's amazing that the man I fell I love with was discarded by me. I thought to myself, OMG, what will he do now? When I heard he married 2 weeks later, I realized what he was and WHY he treated me the way he did. FUTURE FAKED (Engaged) for 5 years is a long time not knowing where we will be living, and not knowing when we could hire a hall, etc.. I did feel like calling him, but thanks to my Therapist and you, it's been well known that he is NOT good for me. I know he married 2 weeks after our breakup, but who knows who he's with now. Thank God I never called or reached out to him, for he would have/could have ruined my life. Thank you again Lee! God Bless You always for helping me SEE THE LIGHT! Love ❤️ you!

Been a month and a half since I lost her (specifically she lost me) and almost a month since I started no contact. I ended up in the hospital after I found out about things, so that didn't help my situation. Then I got sick shortly after I got home and that's been going on for over a month. Plus I got Covid a couple weeks ago. She reached out to my mom at that time to see how I was doing but not to me. I'm in therapy after all that's happened, but at least 90% of it is my own homework. A lot of that has been watching your videos. I appreciate what you do even if I never hear from her again. I have to be strong and patient. I'm worth it: I'm the prize. She gave up on me and it's her loss. It's more than that actually, because of all that's happened I can't even interact with all the friends I've made over the past 5 years anymore. They've all lost me too now.

BREAKUPS ❤️🔥 When someone you dearly love dumps you it is like this - like you just finished putting together a 1000-piece puzzle on your kitchen table when someone comes along and wrecks it - knocks the puzzle to the floor and the pieces fly everywhere - under the frig and cabinets - to each corner of the room - you bend over and slowly pick up every piece you can find. Eventually you put it back together as best you can. With time you will eventually see the big picture again - but 5 or 6 puzzle pieces will always be missing and from time to time you will wonder where they could be. - ray -

Just gonna share my story as you guys all do. Thank you Coach Lee, honestly man you have helped me a lot! My ex broke up with me on the 3rd of August. I am since battling with depression and being in the worst mental state that I have ever been in my entire life. I do go to a psychologist, I do eat healthy, I do workout my ass off. I can keep on writing things but I’ll shorten this down. She said that our relationship was toxic and that basically I need to heal with myself as I was blaming everything around me. To be honest, I had my ups and downs. I am just a 26 year old trying to figure out life. I was trying a lot, I do love her every second no matter what. I tried texting her best friend once (big mistake) never involve another person, especially her best friend. Anyhow, she’s a great person and she told me to move on and focus on myself. I have tried contacting my ex after 25 days telling her that I will be in a place that we used to go. Her response: I don’t want to discuss anything, so please stop everything that’s related with me and just focus on yourself. It’s been what like 23 days today. I never felt as bad in my entire life. I am still crying from time to time. Coach Lee has helped me a lot. I am just a heartbroken guy that has a lot to learn from this life and from the people around us. If you are reading this, you know where to find me. I wish us all to be with a person that cares for us as much as a mother cares for her newborn baby. 🫶

The main point is not to give in to the urge just for what would likely be just a temporary emotional boost. Time is the ingredient as you so rightfully say, but also time never comes back hence why it's so tough at times. I know you suggest in other videos that at 2.5-3 months that then we can break NC if they haven't reached out cause there's nothing left to lose then, and at least we can get closure, whether it's getting back or a definitive ending. I mention this as striving for 11-15 weeks is easier in a way (easier, not easy) as it gives us a goal at least. If after 3 months they don't us want back, well, it's over. No reason to torment ourselves forever. I know I ain't waiting more than that. The wait is too painful, that a no would become less so, even if I agree fully in the power of NC as the best approach to getting back together.

"Dont they think im super sexy".. 😂 another classic. Thankyou for these videos coach lee. It really has pulled me out of some dark places over the last few months with your knowledge, experience and wit. 10 weeks of NC and im still going strong. Working on me and seeing a local therapist. Stay strong guys and good luck.. they left...so let them figure it out.

How is it going there?

I stood in no contact for over 2.5 month now. I only reached out for the key of our flat, she paid the half of the rent till this month. I was short and clear, no need to see each other for this. One day after she wrote me back, that we can do so but she wanted to ask me if I am open to meet her for an ice or coffee. That wondered me a lot. I also have to say I met a great woman meanwhile which fullfill all those things I was thinking of since I really worked on myself, my goals. No idea what this Meeting will bring but my therapist told me I will never know if I am not going there. But thats total up to me know.

Got dumped by my ex gf 3 weeks ago (Some great early christmas gift eh?). She attacked my character, my personal issues. Told me there was no hope of getting back together. I begged. Tried to reach out in other ways. I didn't realize how vulnerable I truly was until it the next thing happened....I tried mutual friends and both of them knew exactly where to hit me where it would brutally hurt. I've gone into NC since I sent an apology e-mail to my ex. I'm stepping back. Analysing the situation in detail since. It was planned out and precise. This isn't a game. It's people's lives and a lot of people treat it like a game. I'm taking my power back and rebuilding myself. Working on myself in general. The LOSS is why you are in pain. Recognise it. Push through it day by day. Ask yourself when you're ready.....Do you truly want this person back? The truth might surprise you.

What about the dumper who did the break up for the right reasons? I.E. being lead on, being in a hot/cold situation, and it was the only way to show self-respect. Just because the dumper does the dumping because they have to have boundaries doesn’t mean that they feel in control or feel less of a connection.

The more I listen to you and your videos the more I feel the strength to not only follow through with NC, but to actually motivate myself to lead my life based on my terms, and actually detached more from the feelings of her. It's been nearly a week since she ended it, 5 days of no contact, and already I'm looking into myself, and thinking about me now.

Coach Lee, would you please make a video for people in no contact who broke off the relationship because the other partner cheated on them? In a couple of your videos, I have heard you say you are not really the dumper-at-fault if THEY cheated on you. Would you please explain more abut how your role shifts when YOU are the one who walked because the partner was unfaithful to you. Thank you! Also, no contact works even if it takes FOUR YEARS (it did for me because the former partner was married at the time).

It's a great idea for a video! Also I would include dumpers who left because the other person didn't want to commit and they tried to push us into a "situationship" or unvoluntary fwb. Coach Lee, adress it please!
