I think going with Freeze and Penguin for the second one would be the best. Or you could give Penguin the third film and build his political career up on the second one, maybe get him mixed up with Two Face and Black Mask? A grounded version of Clayface could be a spy like character that is constantly changing names and identities.

I just have to wonder if these characters like Scarecrow were cut because of the DCU or because Reeves just decided against ham-fisting an origin for a major character like that in a show about The Penguin, with it still being planned for him to get used in a future film. Seems like everybody would have loved to see Matt's take on Scarecrow, so its definitely a bummer if it got booted in favor of the DCU. I would have loved to see his take on Clayface and Poison Ivy too, but I guess most would prefer the most fantastical versions so maybe it's for the best... Casting for Batman 2 can't come soon enough. Everyone is just dying to get SOME idea of what the next film could be about.

Yeah you said it about the casting for the Batman 2. I wonder what got changed after the DCU was formed, but Gunn and Reeves seems to have an understanding of each other so my guess is if Reeves really wanted something he’d be allowed to use it

Itll be cool if the more notable villains in the batman universe gets movies while the lesser known ones like sofia have a series. Perfectly sets up an interconnected universe than what sony tried to do.

Scarecrow was suppose to be Julian Rush disappointed they decided against it. That’s probably why his character felt off

I'm glad that they nixed the Scarecrow and Poison Ivy shows, but because I think they would be bad but to me it's smart for the studio to not pull a Disney and start cramming tv shows down our throat. If anything they're probably going to take their time crafting shows like they did with Penguin. but let's take a moment to pray that they make a good titans movie if it gets greenlit. I really hope they do a more faithful adaptation of Beast Boy than the HBO Titans show.
