@Speaking Truth Here in the United States,it's illegal for a child to run or stay away from home against the parents will under the age of 18. Now, child services will obviously intervine if there is child abuse involved but sadly they don't catch many of them people before some bad things happen.

I was in amys position when I was 17. couldn’t have imagined dealing with it any younger, wow she’s so strong. i stayed with a host family for only 1 night and then went to a hostel for 4 months in that time i turned 18 and began bidding on properties. now im 19 in a few months and have my own place. worst and best thing that ever happened to me. absolutely broke me and ruined my mental health but i have healed over time and alongside it has my relationship with my mum. i don’t know where i would be right now and i don’t want to know if it hadn’t happened. My relationship with my mum was so toxic one of us would’ve ended up dead. It was terrible. Being kicked out I thought it was the worst thing that could’ve ever happened but it really was a bless in disguise and I know that I am on the right path with my mental, physical and emotional health and my relationship with my mom❤️ Amy if you’re reading this I know how alone, depressed and empty you may feel but trust me when I say everything will work out in the end. It always does. I wish you all the best and admire your strength xxx

I know these struggles aswell. But much later. I was around 18/19 at that point. In my country an adult, i can't really imagine what it's like to face this at even a younger age. My nowadays best friend helped me much in that time and i don't know if i would have the strength to face that problem on my own. Your both strength is admirable and i wish you two the best in the world, because you deserve it. Much love to you two.❤ I hope you find or found already people that care about you and help you.

I was born in a family of 7 children I am exactly the middle one so three younger and three older siblings, my dad when I was young had a car accident he fell asleep behind the wheel and hit the tree... Doctors have said to my mother that he is lucky to survive but they need to amputate his leg and one arm... My mom is my superhero she fought as much she could for the doctors to try to save my dad's arm and leg... Doctors recovered around 1000 pieces (including tiny ones) of metal from my dad's arms and legs... He spent years in bed recovering, one doctor was brave enough to take the challenge and eventually they save my dad's arm and leg... my mom had to take care of all of us including my dad... we sometimes had nothing to eat because the government did not provide enough help, before my dad's accident we were prosperous family... My mom never left us nor my dad, we were blessed to have such a strong, resilient mom... even though we were starving sometimes we were one family and I saw my mom crying often because she could not put anything on our plates, but usually our neighbours were bringing food for us as they knew our situation... The only reason my mom did not give up on us was because of their Faith, I know it may sound weird but Faith was her strength to carry on! I don't know how it feels to be rejected by own mother or father or both, but I know the hardship and sacrifice that may relate to this... I hope this girl is safe and happy and I hope she will go through life happy and find peace. I just wrote this comment when I only watched 1:41 of it... so I don't know the whole story yet but I just wanted to share my story... Whoever is struggling I think I know your pain, and I know it is hard, but hold on, and hope for the better days!

@@jazdavidx I'm calling bullcrap on that. That's just my thoughts and if it were to be true then her raised in a toxic environment made her that way but at the same time, she is still a child and she can get help to become better. You would be surprised how some people can really change big time with the right help, like God! In the eyes of God, we're all wicked and fall short of his Glory and we are all sinner's. Not 1 single person on this planet is good or doesn't sin or disobey God. So be easy on her because God died on the cross to forgive us of our sins so that we wouldn't have to go burn in hell for eternity because we're so evil and wicked. Everyone always says, oh well they're or he/she is a really great person with a good heart. According to God,no, we're not!!! We can be if we live a life obeying his laws and teachings though and live Christ like! GOD says the path is narrow and most won't make it into HEAVEN. If that doesn't tell you alot then I don't know what will.

Myself and my friends helped her to no end, we would feed her and give her everything she needed when we were in the same situation. She lied to all of us and stole from all of us. I really hope she gets somewhere to stay! But how is it that in all these clips about homeless young people, there’s nothing about these people getting jobs.. it’s all about handing out housing and welfare. Of course this girl should be at school and possibly only work weekends.. but when she’s 18 they will help her find a home but no job? How are kids supposed to learn how to take responsibility for themselves if it’s all just handed to them? Or is the job hunt happening and just not shown in the clip?

Are you having a laugh? It's very rare in the UK for a 16 year old to be in employment as work placements require qualifications from college. Also the pay at 16 is half the minimum wage and the wages would never cover your rent.

You don’t need qualifications for a lot of jobs. But I guess I wasn’t clear in my comment; I was more thinking of after, when she’s 18 or has finished school.. will they actually help her in any useful ways or just give her council housing?

The system in the U.K. is very broken. Teenager are encouraged to become estranged from their parents. This is extremely damaging with long term consequences. She left home voluntary and instead of looking into the situation, authorities are placing her in a temporary accommodation. We don’t hear the full story about what prompted her to leave home. We don’t know the other side of the story. In the U.K. 16 years old is allowed to leave home and either police or authorities won’t do anything about it if she doesn’t want to go back home.

Yes she is young, but this will prepare her for the future. She will learn to become independent, self-reliant and confident to face the world alone. I hope she doesn't let emotions get the best of her and fall into drug abuse! She seems bright and well presented!

Many years before we the North East indian people receive many great missionary from UK who help us become Christian when our forefathers were head hunter. We have now a great family in most cases after becoming Christian because of them. Thanks to the people of UK for the many great missionary who transform our savage life to what we are now sober and in right mind. Will be praying to the people of UK that God will return you all with many great Christian people and help UK sort out the family and homeless issue. I believe that everything start from home. A Happy family produce a happy society , a happy society produce a happy nation. May Jesus bless UK. My prayer will always be with the people of UK. Thanks for giving us people who tell us the story of Jesus 100 of years ago.

I would like to know what repercussions this mother faced. Child abandonment. There must've been an investigation into the abuse allegations. I hope her mother was jailed. This girl went through this entire process without one mention of her mother.

I used to live with this girl in a hostel. Lived with her for about a year. She is without a doubt a horrible, horrible person. Her mum never abandoned her it’s all lies!! Aimee has a serious problem with lying and stealing, her mum told us that she would steal from her nan, small things like her glasses etc. Aimee lied about being pregnant, said she had a miscarriage of twins, lied about having cancer, lied about being raped more than once. She “ran away” from home and went to stay with a woman who took her in because of the stories that aimee told her about her mum. The police got involved and this woman got into serious trouble for harbouring her, as far as I’m aware this woman got her children taken away from her for it. And the truth eventually came out. Aimee told this woman that she was raped and she was scared to go home. But that wasn’t the truth, the boy she accused wasn’t even in the country at the time and she later admitted that she made it up because he said he wouldn’t date her. She’s disgusting. Like I said I lived with her for a year. When I first met her I felt so sorry for her, I thought, she’s so young and so small and being in a hostel like we were in I thought I would look after her, as I was a few years older and much more capable of looking after myself. I fed her, let her stay in my flat, supplies tobacco and whatever it was she needed. There was a massive group of us that did the same. But all the while, she was stealing from all of us. We were all young kids who had barely anything, surviving off £200 a month. She uses the fact that she’s so young and seemingly innocent to entrap people into her web of lies. Every thing that happened and will happen to aimee is everything she deserves. And I hope that one day she will come to realise that she has done people seriously wrong, but she is a compulsive liar and I doubt she will ever change her ways.

E Nadine unfortunately, it is. I once considered her one of my closest friends and learned the hard way from it, as did many people who became friends with her after me, after saying I was horrible to talk about her the way I did. They learned their lesson too. It’s such a shame really, but some people are able to put on such a clever mask you’d never know until it’s too late. I can only hope that her poor family haven’t suffered too much after this series etc, as I feel nothing but pity for them. I actually spoke with her mum a few times, I actually messaged her having a go at her after aimee told me so many lies about her. She told me everything that happened and I’m so glad she did, it started unveiling the truth

@@jazdavidx wow. Again I will not pretend to believe her over you or you over her cause I dunno what happened and I try not to take sides unless i see things myself (I dont disbelieve u necessarily). You do sound sincere tho, if u did go through these things then that is truly horrific and I am so sorry. I know exactly whatbu mean, ive met ppl like that before and it sucks balls cause once you unveil who they really are u go through a period of time in which maybe ppl dont believe u and question u as crazy. Being a Man and homeless would be hard. I can't imagine a beautiful woman, or should I say a beautiful young girl. (sheeesh,) That would be so scary... Poor SWEET kids. The kids in the Philippines are thrown out into the mud when they're just babies. I went there for a vacation and it turned out to be more heartbreaking than my divorce to see what's really happening in this world. Sad stuff.😣😔😭

Blimey what an irresponsible parent letting your 16 year old be homeless and potentially ending up living in a hostel with god knows who - she should be living at home, having her dinner cooked and someone helping her with her homework. Very sad, poor girl. Hope she manages to get on in life and not spiral downwards

Really doesn't matter to be fair, if a child leaves at 16 you search high and low and do not let them live rough. the council would have been in touch with her family(mum) before moving forward to see if she can't go back, which her mother obviously said no to... I have been in this position before and it is not as cut and dry as the question you asked
