Ageing is a privilege that so many don't get to experience. My best friend died at 26 after a long battle with a terminal illness. All she wanted was to get a job, an apartment, have relationships and not be in hospital all the time. I'm 30 now and her death has taught me a lot and made me realise that instead of "ageing" we should just look at our wrinkles as laugh lines that tell a story on your face, how frown lines show your resilience etc. I think it's time we look at ageing differently.

True! Yes, there are some aspects of aging I don't like, such as having to move slowly so that I don't fall, and some aspects I do like, such as not giving a hoot about having wrinkles. 😉😆

To be honest I didn’t notice at all that you have aged, I was just very happy that you were back. I think you look great masallah! And like you said, the older we get the more we let go of what society expects and focus more on what feels comfortable and accept things the way they are. It is actually a big part of Islam - submission. Surrender to what happens and let go of control 🥰

Ok I think this might be my favorite video on all of KZbin. Who else would be this honest about a topic that we're supposed to ashamed of?? Hell yeah!!! Break the stigma!! I'm 32 too, we're all getting older and looking different. It's literally inevitable no matter how much money we put into making it stop. Wish we could celebrate the beauty in age instead of being ashamed.

I’m 37 now! Would say people think I’m still in my early 30s but I’ve learnt to love my skin and any wrinkles I have. Every line on my face tells a story of the stress I’ve been through with my son growing up, all the tears I’ve shed in life and the strong person it’s made me into.

Honestly I look way better and prettier now at 30 than I did at 23. Whenever my colleagues meeting me ask my age they don't believe me and think I'm early 20s. But I don't get people's shock still about being 30 as if it's old!! I was going through a very stressful time in my 20s. Now at 30 I'm so so much more happier. x

I was like this too. I was so afraid I was over the hill when I was 25 because my ex was obsessed with dating younger women. I’m about to be 36 and wish I didn’t let men create that whole narrative for me. All of those ideas came from men and never served me at all. Everyone gets older but only if they are lucky 💕

I'm 25 (and a half) and have been struggling w accepting what ageing looks like and means outside of all the superficial stuff that's kinda been ingrained in us to care about. It was comforting hearing your thoughts about getting older! There's def a beauty in the act of having collected life experiences and being able to share them w my younger sister, but also be able to find guidance from those who've lived more life than me

Change is the only constant in life, I think we should embrace it more than we do! I cherish change, and I don’t look it as a bad thing! But in the contrary, change gives me hope :) I used to be petrified of aging, I didn’t like to say my age for the longest time, I wanted to always look and be younger, I even wanted to freeze time. But now I came to realize that as we get older we gain more accessibility to things, we become wiser, and we can have more control over our life when we are older! Each age has its beauty :)!!

Everything she said was so accurate. The older I get, the more I look forward to getting older because it’s clear that the older you get the more satisfied you feel. Beauty isn’t just for the young and we’ve got to accept that- especially women. There’s so much beauty and strength and power in getting older and having a body capable of producing children, ovulating, etc etc. Our bodies do the absolute best for us that they can and are scientific miracles. Thank you Dina 💕💕💕

I couldn’t agree with you more dina! I just turned 33 yesterday, and have followed you from your early days, and I have to say I have the exact same mindset. Life completely changed, you do the buying a house, getting the job you desire, getting settled, having children , and then re finding yourself. You change so much as you age from what you want and the people around you. You become a person who is actually alhamdulillah so care free and just actually love everything about you cause you can’t be asked proving shit to anyone! I think life’s value changes as u age. Life is more about just genuinely being happy, and not having to have this perfect house or routine and shit just doesn’t have to be perfect! I think many woman are at this stage and it’s a great one!

Dina im 35. I feel more confident now. More mature mentally, kinder, helpful, wiser. I was so immature in my 20s. With age we should learn change grow into a better version of ourselves. We all have to die one day no matter what age. So we need to stop worrying about superficial stuff so much and focus on goals for this life and akhirah. People who are staying stuff like that have not matured yet.

After watching this video, I'm excited to be 33! It almost feels like the beauty industry has intentionally engineered our society to overvalue youth and beauty in general to the point that ppl become insecure of their natural looks (aka what we all suppose to look like) but its all for money at the end of the day so 🤷‍♀️ Nonetheless, we're always here for your rants/ life experiences. Your videos always feel like having a genuine conversation as oppose to watching a regular video!

We have grown and gained great life experiences; I love how you’ve accepted yourself holistically with the things you enjoy and don’t enjoy about yourself(not saying you don’t enjoy things about yourself); thanks for the pure and genuine energy. I’m 25 and I’m married with a child yet none of my friends have children and I’m constantly comparing my appearance to theirs and obsessing over how I should look in order to not look older when really I should just be thankful that I am alive and my body keeps me healthy. I needed this video. Thank you Dina ❤️ I hope you are still making videos on KZbin when you’re 40, since I started watching you almost 10 years ago I have looked at you as an older sister 🥰

I love this video! Ageing is a privilege. It's scary for sure to age, because of the way we are conditioned. Women's value being in their appearance benefits capitalism, and when you age then you will feel less valuable. I am not immune to this either, it's so hard to let go of those ideas we are fed all our lives but this video is a great help to many I am sure.

Lol, I literally just sent your last video, to my best friends BECAUSE you looked so good. You are a baddie! You run your businesses, you focus upon your children, you focus on your husband, and your family. You change up your styles, you stay healthy & you look awesome! Thirties is when people start taking women more seriously. There is something psychologically missing from people, who think that it’s appropriate to be assholes & bullies, online. Most of those people, are missing those deep meaningful relationships in their lives, so they become a bunch of jerks, online. The magic screen, gives them an ego. We’re living crazy train times, people need to really reflect on things that are more important. Age brings wisdom & just keep your focus on exactly what you are doing because you are doing a great job. You are literally gorgeous & I’ll follow you into our elder years, because you & your family, are awesome. It’s just sad that people are so rude for no reason. Keep it up, Dina!

Just in case you didn’t know Dina there’s an acne/spots face maps that show us where spots on our face derive from depending on where they usually show up. Just turned 33 two days ago and baby no. 2 is due in a week, and I was dreading turning 30 so much that it'd keep me awake at night although I still look like I'm in mid 20s but it was just a thought, a mental block in my head. But when I actually turned 30, I felt this immense rush of self acceptance and confidence like never before. I've rocked this pregnancy better than last time. I do yoga, take care of my skin, and deal with anxiety for days, yet when I get better I love love love going out with my natural hair and literally repeating my outfits in a hundred different ways and enjoying compliments. People who pinpoint such petty things are actually jealous and insecure within themselves.

I am not big on leaving comments on videos but THIS VIDEO...damn truth has been spoken. I could not agree more with you. Beauty standards nowadays are 100 percent pedophilic. We should all embrace our natural looks and I believe the most beautiful a person can be is when they are themselves without any procedures. You're gorgeous and I truly mean it.

WTH! You look so good! not easy to look as good as you when you have 2 kids. I started getting the same comments from friends and family after i lost weight. Sometimes I feel people are just flipping jealous. I have nerver felt the way I do now. I can careless what they have to say. All i know is that when m 50 I will look and feel better than them. |Keep it uP!!!!!

Love that you made this video, Dina. I needed to hear this experience from someone a few years chronologically ahead of me. this is the year I turn 30, and while I have become cognizant of the self-assuredness I feel lately, the "IDGAF" authenticitiy and all that.............. physical appearance wise, cultural wise and EVERYTHING, I feel terrified and super shit. Not even sure why. Im just scared Im gonna be cast aside from society x_x and my parents are NOT supportive of this, they just perpetuate it. I hate culture. NYAWAY thanks for sharing !!!

haven't watched the vid yet cuz i'm "working" but i just wanted to say that the alternative to getting old is way less exciting than aging. i welcome aging and hope that i leave this mortal coil a good long time from now, having appreciated all the life i've lived. from the first days to the last. i hope i live to see a better world...and a silver haired dina and sid (i bet y'all will be gorgeous!)

This is exactly how I feel at 26. I guess my whole life everyone was so fixated with my looks (sadly) I feel like the older I get I’m so hard on myself. I feel like I have an expectation to look good at all times, it’s so unhealthy. So I can’t grasp the fact that I’m aging slowly but surely, hopefully one day I’ll except it

Dina maashaAllah you are very honest women you don't neglect the facts as a lot of women hide things and don't want to declare sister you are what you don't listen haters coz they want you to make you disappointment I understand for women the more they get stressed or depressed the more she gets wrinkles or look aged and that is everyone knows. the main important is to make sure we free too much stressed that is our priority. Anyways I liked your energy and confident you are hilarious love you♥♥♥

Loved this Dina!!! I think it only gets better and a few laugh lines add character and depth to your pictures! Each age has its own perils and it’s own magic and cannot be compared but must be embraced for the beauty it is. Also there is joy and contentment you get that cannot be compared to youth - and that is a great trade for a few wrinkles. ❤️

I am 30 years old and I’ve never loved myself as much as I do now. I feel beautiful and wise. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on aging ♥️ Some women struggle with finding peace at this age because society tells us women that our lives end once we turn 30. We are told we are not youthful and we are expiring. It’s really disgusting. It’s not true! I look in the mirror and I see a beautiful woman.

I’m 23 and I’m afraid of getting older too. Not at all because of my appearance but because I’m afraid that I won’t find the right relationship, friend group, career, place to live etc. I feel like my life right now is lonelier than I want it to be and I can’t imagine how that can change in the future.
