Ok, wired crime: once, a guy planned on robbing a store. He put a $20 bill on the counter as a "donation " so the lady would get out the cash register. The man grappled the tray of money and ran off, leaving his $20. Funny enough, that store only happened to have a total of $15, so the man pretty much just gave the store a free five dollars!!

@2024 student7 Stores always have more than 15 dollars in the register. They have to really. They have a set amount of money to start off with to give people change and if say if they run out of the 1s that other customers gave them, they take 1s from the register that the store gave them. Say you start off with $300 and someone gives you a 50 . well you need to be able to pay them back so you give them their change with the money the store gave you. Basically you need to be able to give people change until the store makes enough that they have their 300 back and you pay the customer change with money you got from other consumers. I worked at a concession stand for three weeks the past three years. We need more than 15 dollars in order to give the 100+ people their change.

The weirdest crime: I took a vacation to Kentucky, IDK why, my parents were like “let’s go to Kentucky!” Anyways, we were driving to a restaurant and we saw someone getting arrested near an ice cream parlor. We were all confused, but when later that night at our hotel I was reading a fact bookI brought, one of the facts was “It is illegal to carry ice cream in your back pocket in Kentucky.” The crime still remains a mystery, but the ice cream cause makes this so much funnier to look back on.

Supposedly it’s illegal somewhere in Kentucky, but some less trustworthy sites just insert a random location, no official sources on any site that I could find. People say it has to do with drawing attention from horses or food safety, but there’s also no evidence behind those. Some talk about some photographer talking about hearing a rumor about it in Alabama, but other popular locations include Kentucky and Georgia. Overall somewhere in Kentucky seems to be the most consistent and believed locale used.
