"Almost" couldn't save half of the universe from being wiped out. "Almost" wasn't good enough for Captain Marvel. You're confusing a practice (spell-crafting or magic) with a species (god vs. mortal). Hela was never a witch, but a God that practiced magic. Witchcraft, from what I've read, deals mainly with female practitioners, but Hela and Thor, as Gods, aren't actually male or female but personifications of them. They're ideas given form by the thoughts of their worshippers- gender is fluid in the divine realm.

Well, technically speaking, Valkyrie was white in the comics, but always black in the movies. Heimdall, Draxx, and Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) are all of some non-white heritage and there’s a lot more of which haven’t been introduced yet. Draxx, I believe, is of an Indian-Mexican heritage. And some of them don’t even have a race I.e Silver Surfer, Thanos, Gamora, Groot, Rocket Racoon, Cull Obsidian (Formally “Black Dwarf”.) Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw so yes, while there are a LOT of white characters in the MCU, there are also a fair amount of colored and unidentified races.
