Infernal, I disagree, GM Caruana have played Matches with better preparation - as Sensei said, this Tournament increased Norwegian chances for good. 🎉 Thank you, mr. David for nice Channel!

Excellent from Fabi, unafraid creativity by Van Forreest, but just too risky. Thanks Daniel and keep up the good work.

Nice to see some interesting games being played in the Petroff this tournament (I'm writing this comment after watching the coverage of the later Erigaisi vs Abdusattorov game). For a while it felt like everyone was playing the Nc3 Nimzowitsch line with white, so it's good to see some variety. Thanks for the coverage Danny!

It didn't show via Fabi's moves, none of which were rash, but precise and aimed at central control

Can somebody update me about Firouzja? Why is he not at this tournament?

If memory serves, Alireza had a bad experience at Wik. He was playing a game and the arbiters asked him and his opponent to move during the game. It was very odd. I believe neither of them factored in to the top of the standings and they wanted to move a game that did; believe it was a tie-breaker. I think it was the last round of the tournament. Alireza got very upset, understandably because of the disruption. I don't believe he felt it was handled properly after he objected. I'm guessing he decided not to play at Wik as a result of that. Shame.

Caruana played exactly the way I would've. My reasoning behind Ne5 was exactly to exchange the e5 knight for black's knight and prevent black from closing the hideously weak e file. e4 outpost is denied by the ugly f3. I'm commenting at 4:48 so I don't know what's coming.

That was an odd game. If you're going to surprise your opponent in the opening, aren't you supposed to get an advantage of some type? And if they change plans, which it kind of looks like Fabi did and possibly waste a tempo on a king move, how do you end up in such a mess Jorden? I like him as a player, but sometimes he has these type of games and I wonder if he's up to the task of playing at the top. And then he has tournaments like he did a couple years ago where he wins the whole thing. He's kind of a wild card. But not in the way a player like Rapport is, with Jorden it seems to be inconsistency. Well, I guess he is young. Hope he rebounds and plays better in the remaining rounds. I'd like to believe Fabi has found his form, but I think I'll need to see more than this to convince me. Lots of players bunched up at the top, should be interesting. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks!

without the blunder g4 pawn , there isnt any slightly refutation anyway. thats why i play after4.......ne4x d3 and then d4 transpose into a french excange variation followed with c4. black players dont like that stuff.
