My father is also a Forest Guard. He worked in Sundarbans for more than 11 years. In my childhood I heard many exciting stories of the ferocious tigers from him. You bring those stories to the world. Tons of thanks to you for this work. I have never seen such brave tourists like you. Very few tourists are courage enough to visit in these dangerous part of this forest. Again thanks a lot for visiting here. ❤❤❤

I found you like a month ago. The way you narrate and edit your videos make me feel like I'm watching a BBC documentary. I'm from BD but live in Canada and it's so great to see someone making in-depth videos like this! Really loved all your BD videos. I don't know if you're still there but if not I hope you will go back again and make more videos. There's always so many places to go and see.

For a tourist, the chance of seeing a tiger in the Sundarbans is generally less than 1%. The tales you hear are amazing though! However, these early morning trips, drifting through the narrow canals on these small boats is also an awesome experience! To be able to hear the birds and monkeys waking up and chirping at each other, piercing the silence all around, or to be able to see the sun rising through the dense fog, and as the sun shines brighter, noticing the different shades of green from the widely different variety of trees and plants indigenous to the Sundarbans… these are memories you can carry through a lifetime! Glad to know that you also had an amazing experience! Loved the video!

Most tourists I've seen usually follow the most "touristy" trail in Sundarbans and miss the real essence of this forest. Your guide did a really good job. There are many interesting stories about life in sunderbans. SUndarbans have seen 100+ deaths by tiger in a year in the past with many more injured. Those who work in the jungle know ways to detect a threat and scout the area first for signs of tiger before jumping in. Still unfortunate encounters happen. Hope you'll visit Sundarbans soon again and this time for longer period.

amazing to see how much time you've invested in showing your audience the real raw beauty of bangladesh. as you know Royal bengal tigers are predominantly only found in the sundarbans area of our country and india and they have quite the reputation of being such huge majestic beast, they are also very shy and often tries to maintain distance from the locals but trust me even if you don't see them they mostly are watching you from a far. nature is truly amazing innit fun fact: if you ever face a tiger never put your back towards them, it makes them more hostile and they'll definitely jump on you. thank you

Hi Carrie when ur next visit to Bangladesh 🇧🇩 pls visit Gazipur District jus north of Dhaka, it has lots to offer to tourists, there’s more than 120 beautiful resorts & also many picnic spots etc. Not far away there’s Asia’s biggest safari park called bangabandhu safari park area consists of nearly 4000 acres of land with 3000 animals from worldwide to see. It’s be better if u take binoculars & camera to take video or snapshot of various animals in its precinct. There’s restaurants u can dine & has sanitation facilities etc

wonderful! do you know the English poet Ted Hughes? He was appointed Poet Laureate in 1984 and was the last to hold the office until his death. In 1989, he visited Sundarbans and as a forest officer my father was assigned to accompany him with his entire trip and at the end he wrote a poem for my father. there was no title of the poem but he started with "for Sufi" as our family name is 'Sufi'. My sister still has that original copy of the Poem hanged in her sitting room. you just refreshed my childhood memories. my last visit to Sundarban was in 2018 and and that was our last family tour with my father as he died from covid in 2022 just few hours before I reached there in Bangladesh.

Just around 200 years ago tigers used to roam around all over Bengal hiding behind jungles, forests and bushes. It’s a pity now we almost lost all the tigers. Asian Rhinos got extinct from this area; you still can find some rhinos in Assam across the border on west of Bangladesh.

Yes. It takes you breath away when you see a Tiger in the Sundarbans. No doubt about it. When I read the stories written by Tahawar Ali Khan's book "Man-eaters of Sunderbans" I was truly fascinated about this largest mangrove forest on earth, and about the swamp tigers most of whom are supposedly man-eaters. Do read this book if you love the Sundarbans.

I visited this forest 2 years ago and I loved it as a nature enthusiast. But the stories of this place are shocking, terrifying and wonderful at the same time. Usually, it is forbidden to visit Sundarbans during rainy season as it is the mating season for tigers. I met one boatman, and he very casually told me that he worked in areas with tiger and during the mating seasons, the shear power of the roaring sounds shake their utensils and unsettles them. I was stupid enough not believe them but after coming home, I did my research. To mg surprise, they were telling the truth. The roar of the Bengal Tigers can be heard from as far as over 2miles. Since then, I often wonder, how do you live in a place so far from the mainland, without any basic supplies or protection with one of the most deadliest animals of the world and still manage to put a smile on your face and talk about this incidence so casually. SUNDERBANS, is obviously most famous for being the world’s largest mangrove and the dwelling place Royal Bengal Tigers and Crocodiles, but it should also be recognised for the brave hearts that live there. BTW great video.
