Glad you like it :-) To me it just sounds like they put the mic too far away and opened up the compression to get her voice back. Many sound engineers today think that compression = good sound, without actually having a clue how a microphone works. The song is utterly beautifull but the recording of the piano and expecially her voice... is just... well I think it's horrible.

I see a lot of acoustic covers of this song from up and rising artists like phoebe bridgers and lizzy mcalpine and idk if I can attribute it to this rendition. Such a revolutionary cover that even the meaning of "teenage dirtbag" changed (at least for me). Props to the idea of the arrangement and execution of self-expression of the artists behind this cover (including the sound people/engineers responsible for capturing the subtle and raw details of the performance). Tbh , I think is this the only channel that retained the old school KZbin cover vibe , most of the channels these days are over produced and cover over covered song . I just find this channel very authentic , good jobs guys . I played this cover the first time while eating so I wasn't really paying full attention. The girls voice and beautiful piano chords really touched me. So I had to play it again to watch and listen properly. Second time round I just notice her right arm. That's when a tear fell down my eye and I had a lump in my throat. I've now subscribed to her channel. Victoria is an inspiration.
