Hi Steven, I grew up with your music. I am now 58. I married and sang to my wife "I Will Be Here" and entered the wedding reception with the song "The Great Adventure"! We decided to adopt because you inspired us through your own adoptions and through the song "When Love Takes You In". The boy we adopted grew and started running away from home when he was a teenager. Looking for his identity he has found himself in lots of problems with the law. Just like you lost your daughter, we have lost our son to this world. Thank God he is still alive but not at home. Steve, your songs continue to inspire us to follow Christ in the deepest of valleys that we go through in this world. Thank you. God bless you. Well, I have been a huge fan for 31 years now (started listening when I was new believer) and this has touched my heart again in so many ways. I have been on the Great Adventure and it will be 2 years now that I have been able to (with the Lords help) kick 2 addictions. I choice to give my testimony in Celebrate Recovery and it caused me to "Remember" so many mountains and valleys and God used it to heal and encourage the deep waters of my heart. Come to find out the addictions that I struggled with where only symptoms of deeper things that Jesus needed to touch and heal. Not only has God restored my relationship with him but my marriage and relationship my 4 kids and others. God has truly "restored the years the Locusts have eaten" and it took going back "Remembering" to press forward and take the next mountain. I live in Colorado and the scenery reminds me of Colorado. Where was the video taken? Steven thanks you so much for another amazing song and the video to go along with it - your songs and ministry have touched me and my family heart for years (my kids grew up listening to your music and love it. :-) I can't wait to share this amazing music video with them. Thank you Steven, that video reminded me of California where I grew up. Now I'm married living in Australia on the other side of the world but from time to time I have very fond memories of the deserts and mountains to a place I once call home. God has definitely taken me and my family on a great adventure. It amazing how songs can lead us to a deeper level of intimacy with the Father and bring such deep meaning to our lives. I never thought that I would be one day living in the Land Down Under but a few years ago I met a wonderful lady in Queensland who later became my wife. Where the great adventure was setting out on faith, this one is reflective of a pilgrim in the midst of the journey with lines like "more deep dark shadow lands where desperate faith is all I have".
