After minute 1:39 you can notice a slight change like in the echo of Cameron Diaz's voice since at the beginning of the song when he screams or sings you can hear his echo. After minute 1:39 it is heard as if they had simply extracted the audio of the recording and they would have simply pasted the voice recording of Cameron Dias as is done in inshot

Oh nice pointing that out! You’re right, if you compare it to the soundtrack recording (or any other clip of this scene posted online) you’ll notice the backing track is way softer here and has different instrumentation. Her voice is also crisper (as well as the girls laughs) and louder. Strange, I wonder how that happened.

I'm sorry, but all the haters don't get it. They didn't remake "Annie" because of race swapping, it was remade to update the storyline and show the toxicity of the foster system. They even said it in the bonus material on the home video release. Plus, Cameron Diaz slayed this role and for someone who is not a professional singer he did a great job. 👍👍👍👍

I have just watched clips from this movie and it doesn't hold a candle to the 1982 Annie Musical! But the original was my all time favorite movie as a kid. The original is like watching a Broadway musical. The award winning Broadway star Ann Reinking's dancing and singing were absolutely engaging and wonderful! Not to mention the other top notch singing, dancing, and acting of every single actor in the movie! Then you also have the awesome comedy of Carol Burnett. It was a true art of that can't be duplicated. This new Annie movie may be funny and cute, but it is not even in the same league as the original. They should have called it something else. I don't know why they keep trying to re-do every single movie? Especially the great ones!

i respectfully disagree. i prefer kathy bates rendition and this one over Carol's. this one had fun with the girls being furniture props, and kathys sounded better imho. ill appreciate carols forever but out of the 3 its my least favorite.
