Scenic Flight to Port Angeles WA

On this clear fall day in the Pacific Northwest, I flew from Boeing Field (KBFI) in Seattle to Port Angeles to check out the freshly repaved and renumbered main runway at the William R. Fairchild airport (KCLM). Port Angeles lies on the north side of the Olympic Peninsula along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The airport is a great place to practice instrument approaches, but on a CAVU day in late October, enjoying the scenery was the goal.

Great flight. I’m looking at relocating up to port angeles from south east Arizona. I guess I’ll need to get instrument rated if I want to fly my plane up there. Lol

that haze at CLM is fantastic. was the giant flock of geese there?
