US and UK pricing is similar now *sheds a tear for our economy*

I don't think you got the point of his comment.
@TheShinyShow7 жыл бұрын
SHREDDer IFIC I didn't mean the value of the guitars themselves, i meant the currency exchange rates. Before Britains currency tanked a $1000 guitar would cost about£600 -£700. Now the Captain is saying its the same as USD. This represents a more expensive guitar for a Brit than before, not on Schecters part but our economy. I have a Schecter, not knocking them.

We've been a Schecter Dealer for 7 yrs now, they build good guitars at reasonable prices, and if you want to spend the dough on more expensive ones, they have those too!
@jman21020017 жыл бұрын
They have a really consistent price:quality ratio up and down. Drop $750 on one of theirs is amazing, and dropping $1000 is basically 1 1/3 times the quality, as is with the price! I love their Avenger bodies
@TacoCat5557 жыл бұрын
Does your love with the Avenger body have to do with Synyster Gates using that body? Nothing wrong with that, just asking.
@jman21020017 жыл бұрын
Sorta, it was when I had just discovered Avenged (before the obsession began), but I saw that guitar and said: "I need that!" So he introduced me to the body, and that combined with him being one of my idols may have influenced it. It's completely because of him I put an Invader for the bridge in my avenger, though.

Schecter custom shop guitars are no joke! They are on the same level as Suhr and Tom Anderson. Of course most people know Schecter for their affordable, MIK range but if you have the scratch to get into their custom shop stuff, you won't regret it.

Just bought my first Schecter at the end of 2016 and I honestly don't understand why they sometimes get a bad rep. People have complemented me on it's looks, it sounds great, it feels and plays amazing, and it costs about a half as much as my American made guitars (in some cases closer to a quarter the price). Really great guitars, not just for the money, just overall impressive guitars.

Schecter just killing it. Other guitar companies want two grand or more for access neck, satin finish, locking tuners, etc etc etc... Schecter somehow manages to put all this stuff onto a range of guitars starting at around a grand. Oh, and they don't force you to change your pickups immediately upon purchase of your new toy.

tbf the clean sound on actives is quite bassy and nice for maybe a sterotypically jazzier sound. I wouldn't use them largely because I think with fuzz it doesn't really sound natural and also the only guitars with EMGs are too pointy for me really
@leemason59537 жыл бұрын
SHREDDer IFIC David Gilmour now uses Seymour Duncan noisless pickups,if I remember rightly I think it was his red strat that had emg's in the early to mid 1980's, I may be wrong though.
@leemason59537 жыл бұрын
SHREDDer IFIC yep I know, just remember his red strat having them,but saying that he has chopped and changed pickups and hardware a lot 40yrs,just look at all the battle scars his black strat has and now it's back to 3 single coils,standard bridge and standard input jack but still has the gilmour pickup modification.
@generatorofheavy77617 жыл бұрын
For the longest time, he used EMG's in his red Strat that they based his EMG-loaded pickguard off of, and used to have Duncan SSL's, or such, in his black Strat with white pickups. I'm not sure if he's changed since then.

Far superior to the competition I have seen thus far (still progressing through Andertons' NAMM coverage, though). Glad Andertons could interview someone at NAMM that wasn't a complete sleaze dbag. Too harsh of me to say? Let me explain. Consider this: You are a music company, at one of the world's largest trade shows, broadcast live the world over!
