I always get a "kick" watching you work. Schematics are one of my favorite puzzles. All I can say is keep making vids. Truly entertaining.

Fantastic work. It brought me to joyful tears to see it come to life at the end. I guess part of that emotion is knowing... particularly with older pinball machines like this one... the people who put these wonderful systems together so many years ago very well may no longer be with us. You are preserving their memory with your work... and your videos add to that preservation. Thank you for all that you do sir.

Yeah, I feel the same way. Some dude put this thing together back in 1960, he lived, died and has been gone awhile probably... and one of his machines is still hanging around but not working, we mess with it a little bit and find it's little secret for why it's not working, fix it, and even though that guy's gone something he made is still entertaining and making people happy. It's a really cool thing, each machine has it's own story too. Thanks for watching Allan!

Never ceases to amaze me that they run line voltage through the coin switches on theses old games.

Great video. I cannot believe they had 115V active at the coin door (and other places) and no way to turn it off but the kick switch. Even then there was still places hot. That is a dangerous situation but I guess 1960 was a different time. Glad to hear you will put in a proper power switch. I would suggest a double pole switch as I am sure the plug is not polarized. Keep up the great videos.

Great video Ronnie. I like the long vids, as you do more stuff and we all get to watch a master at work. My ability to read schematics has really improved since watching you bring back all the machines you’ve done…. That Bank A Ball looks very interesting….I own one of these mighty wedgeheads, it’s my second one. What a great straight ahead game it is. Hoping it’s yours as you will probably do a bit more on it if you own it. In any case, I’m ready for that.

What a brilliant video, i guessed it may of been somthing to do with the score reels due to having watched other videos of yours. Even my wife watched how you went through the schematics and as she has a very good electrical knowledge it made sense to her, so you really have explained it well. On another note ive just recieved a couple of your T shirts and im proudly walking around Dover, Kent in the UK. and most peope love the "Whats wrong with it Joe" its broke! Brilliant!😁

Outstanding work. Makes me want to dive back into my Night Rider EM. Finally found why the fuse was blowing. The bottom part of a pop bumper spoon switch, and the top of the scoring switch was fused together. Broke that connection and it's no longer blowing the fuse. Now to get it to complete the startup sequence. Thanks for the video of the process.

Do all pinball machines come with a schematic document inside? I mean, do manufacturers put those papers inside the machines when they are sold?

JOE CLASSIC, Can you please explain the theory of operations on how the MATCH Unit works? I'm not sure what its doing and also the Number MATCH discs are out of order which I'm not sure how it work in theory of operations. I'm guessing it takes the player#1 score unit and the player#2 score unit and does some type of matching

It's just nuts (makes me smile though) that you kick it to turn it off. I mean, how much is a normal switch compared to a kick-off switch?
@LyonsArcade2 жыл бұрын
The normal switch would be cheaper but they're harder to turn back on. It's just they were thinking differently back then... if you use the kick switch to turn it off, you can start it again at any time by dropping a coin into it.... but if you used a normal switch to turn it off, it can't be started unless somebody turns the switch back on again. It's similar to a 'sleep' mode on your computer or whatever.
@fred_derf2 жыл бұрын
@@LyonsArcade That all makes sense (and is pretty slick), it's just the "to turn it off just beat it up a little bit" that makes me laugh. Couldn't the same affect be obtained by using a momentary-contact push button? That's all the kick switch does, right? It momentary completes a circuit...

!!!!! You seem very upset by that!!!! Lemme ask you a question. Since that's already been filmed, in your mind when you bitch and complain about it, do you think magically they're going to get lighter? What's done is done, your complaints aren't going to change that. Let me ask you another question: Do you think I made them dark on purpose? No, I did the best I could jackass.
