Jamaican needs to have that business acumen like the Chinese, its ok praising them and admiring their works,("big up the Chinese ") but i hope we can emulate what the Chinese are able to do in our own country. Because history shows we are slackers in business, whether local or otherwise because it seems others had to come in to do work that we as jamaicans and black people should've been able to accomplish. Obviously it stand to reason the Chinese are not there because they love us so much, they have thei own agendas with the government, remember anno play dem a play, dem adu business so jamaican is getting the benefits too,so it's a win for everyone. But we need to do better as jamaicans for individuals for each others and has a country, and stop knocking the Chinese too much because we should be appreciating their expertise in what they're doing with our infrastructures.

As far as I see all this road work from Harbour View to Albion is just for the Investors and the upper class. The rest of St.Thomas to Portland was intended fot 'vote grabbing' but it has backfired in the governnment's face due to poor contractors and workmanship. Some employees will probably say "Wi mek a food" bur how long will that last? These aren't the kinds of upliftment we the people need to impact voting tand in getting a better life. The real issues are still left hanging. People are still poor and the govt., still has it that Jamaica is getting better. These 'pretty roads' do convince people that things are getting better but is that so? Love the highlights bro but stay focused and let's make Jamaica better for our kids and future generations. Bless up CHEC! No joke!

Why whenever there is any progress you guys who absolutely nothing to do just criticize why not look on the bigger picture? I'm pretty sure people who struggling to bring their pro juice to market have a totally different view seems like you was ok with the way the roads were.

@@mikejohnson3601Just so that you know, I'm an educator so with that said there are so many things that need fixing in Jamaica and I'm pleased to say you're an objective thinker. Some of the problems have to do with poor home settings, wrong role models, inadequate and unsustainable government programmes etc.Not blaming, just suggesting areas where we can have growth.

Why are you on the right hand side of the lanes bro? Only when overtaking or when the left is blocked by parked vehicles or workmen. Kl.
