Do you ever find the literature about schizophrenia defeatist? It's hard when trying to affirm a different way of being, specifically in the context of psychotic conditions, is considered pathognomic of the condition, and moreover an underscoring of "lack of insight". It's also utterly disparaging to see continual bashing of psychotic conditions from society at large with no silver linings, compared to the technotopic portrayals involved in certain variants of high functioning autism, as an example.
