The DSM-V needs to be revised. Your point about cultural differences is true but it is not the only factor that needs to be considered. Electronic Harassment (i.e. Voice to Skull synthetic telepathy, Havana Syndrome, Microwave auditory effect, etc.) is a very real phenomenon that's been around for decades. It's used in the military, government, and criminals use it to covertly stalk their victims. The fact is there is no tangible evidence or criteria for a diagnosis of schizophrenia. Etiology based on environmental conditions needs more attention and more importantly justice needs to be served for victims that fall prey to such diabolical psychopathy.

I’ve been having a problem where I feel like my loved ones are constantly talking about me like in another room or across the room and I call them out and they say nobody’s talking about me and now I think Im realizing I have paranoid schizophrenia it not like I see people I’m just changing what people are saying when they talk I guess to be them talking shit about me or they are lying to me and are really shit talking me and that’s the main problem they say they’re not talking about me then a little while later I hear the shit talking me again lol
