I love the relationship you have with your dad, it reminds me so much of my relationship with my dad who is also so supportive of me. My biggest fear is that one day he wont be there any more and I'm so scared of being alone with my diagnosis and the severe anxiety and intrusive thoughts I get, I dont know how I will manage without him 😞

I am a father of a young man who leans on me. I worry about him and how life will be for him after I am gone. The concern goes both ways. Good luck to you.

Thank you for choosing life Stephen! I truly admire you. I have had Schizophrenia for 16 years now. I have what I call my entourage, a doctor, a nurse, social worker, therapist, case manager and a recovery support specialist. Stephen I have several brothers and a sister. My brother Matthew took his life in the year 2006, and he also suffered from Schizophrenia. My brother Matthew was just twenty years old, I was eighteen at the time. I have these resources but I live on my own living with disability income. I cannot thank you enough for being so brave and sharing your story with the internet. I am glad you are using the illness to teach other people what its like to live with this horrendous disorder. Keep your head up buddy you have a lot more to accomplish in life.

You ‘championed’ going back to that place Stephen, it took courage, but you did it man! Awesome to see you coping with standing on the cliff edge you were going to jump off…such an emotional memory…… I applaud you Stephen…. …..on that day, the Lord God had you in his hand because your time was not called yet! God has a plan for your life and we wants you ‘alive’ x

You seem like a very well-rounded person. I'm happy you have a supportive dad because I do, too. Unfortunately, my dad is battling cancer. I am scared because my dad is my rock and shield, you'r dad seems so encouraging. Write back to me if you want to. Any prayers for my dad, his name is Michael would be appreciated. .

My son had the same eye movement and heavy blink as you, he made everyone comfortable, trusting and happy enough to take our eyes off him. 😭 that was 3 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago his little 12 year old cousin couldn't handle his suicide and she succeeded in suicide also. You never know who is going to follow you. 😭

Oh dear! May they RIP . May your family find healing. My son is presently on his road to recovery after a second psychotic break in February. The first one we didn’t know what to make of it because he’s always gone ‘off’ at times and we same to expect wayward behavior from him. Praise God a dream revealed his illness to me. He told me he was ill in my dream. 🙏 We’re learning so much from your channel Stephen on how to help him with his recovery. 🙏
