Thank you for talking about this. I often worry that I may be showing the early signs of schizophrenia and seeing someone so pretty and well-adjusted as yourself with the diagnosis makes it much less scary to me. I was diagnosed BPD, but I know I was misdiagnosed . I have intrusive voices that mostly sound like my voice but I too get the multiple voices , more so from extreme stress . I've seen all kinds of things , faeries being one ( they looked similar to the ones from the movie Pan's Labyrinth ) . I've seen aliens and ships , I've seen geometric shapes of light .I've seen animals too . I don't remember when , but I got tried of the voices ruining my happiness so I began ignoring them or saying no , not in this life ! Or if they didn't like something , I faced people knowing I would learn something good and I was right . The people who have helped and showed me understanding and love were the ones the voices told me to stay away from .I'm glad I ignored them 😉 I'm happy to hear you have support and help , I wish you the best. Angel hugs n Blessings to you and yours 😇

Hi Emily, I watch your videos and feel i can relate to you in so many ways. I suffer from extream schizophrenic episodes and i suffer from unstable personality disorder and deep depression too, I also self harm daily. About a year ago i was sectioned to a mental health unit myself by the police for 3 months after the voices in my head told me to kill myself and I hung myself but survived after 3 months in ITC and a long stay in the mental health unit. Since I was released from the hospital mental health unit, My mental health illnesses have just become worse. I still have many break downs and suicidal thoughts daily and i still hear the voices in my head and self harm. I feel no one truly understands me, I feel very lonely and feel so alone living on my own. I really wish i had the chance just to sit down with you and just talk as i know you would understand how i felt inside. I really could do with a very sweet girl like you in my life as u are such a brave girl and everything you talk about really touches my heart. I wish i could be as strong as you. Thai xx

A lot of what you say is very familiar to me. I've had many types of hallucinations in the past. Mostly audio, but some visual ones too. The scariest was a voice in my head with an American accent that was really vivid and clear. (I'm English btw) It was a wild psychopathic cartoon character of a person. It wasn't me but it could find a way to become me. It felt like a ghost that wanted to use my body. Like a possession. The thing you said about being persuaded reminded me of it. I only heard him a couple of times in my life, but I'd recognise him again. I have an Idea of what he looks like although I've never seen him. I could give him a name but I haven't. He also looks more like me than he is (if that makes sense). But the other realm I see things in is not really anything like the waking world, and it relates to it in completely inexplicable ways. Oddly I find some uncanny resemblances with religious images sometimes. One time I saw an image of angels in lights on the side of a church at Christmas time and it really freaked me out. I could feel my face going white in a sort of disbelief. The composition of the Image was exactly the proportions of a very powerful hallucination I once had. The colours were pretty accurate too. It was like a hallow sketch of what I saw. I have heard the cafe of voices that you describe before as well. when I was in my 20's that was quite common. I'm 34 now and my hallucinations are much more rare and generally things are more under control. I'm not on any meds and mostly I can stay lucid when I need to be. I do still occasionally get the odd loud voice that is very short. Maybe just shouting my name once. Sometimes I hear a very very loud bang that would be loud enough to deafen me if it were real. Though I found that massaging the back of my neck gets rid of that (don't ask me why) It's a trick I learned from the good old "exploding head syndrome" community online.

Sometimes I feel like the biggest problem with comment sections like this, is the lack of reading and writing skills people have, and the misinterpreted meanings of comments. I find that a countries focus on education makes a big difference. I know I will get comments and rebuttals about this, but I find that the reading and writing skills in the UK seem to be higher than other countries. Australia and Canada are tied for 2nd place, and the good ole U.S. of A is in 4th place. This does not of course mean that there aren't outstanding scholars in all 4 countries, I'm talking about the comments I see on the vlogs I watch. It would be interesting to see if the money spent per student in the countries I'm referring to, would reflect my observations?
