That last note is actually Tim. If you pay close attention you will see that Avi is singing along with the rest of the guys (he puts on the cowboy hat while singing with them) while Tim is hitting that bass note. :)

The thing I like about this song is how the 2 bass singers are singing basically the same notes but the color and tone of their voices are so distinctly different... Avi's was such a smooth bass while Tim's was so gritty. Almost like the difference between an acoustic and an electric bass. That last low note of Tim's isn't even his lowest note. He hits subvocal notes (check out his "Your Man" cover to see what I mean. Both him and Avi have tortured sound systems and blown speakers in live shows, to the excitement of the audience.

When Home Free performed this song that WON them the Finale Competition on the tv series The Sing off, Jewel Recognized that Lowest note that TIM belted out at the end of the song, Which TIM did here as well, was a VERY low Fsharp. Ladies and Gentlemen... it does not get any better than this! They did an amazing job arranging/singing/performing this great Johnny Cash classic. Not sure why Schnell was confused by who sang that last incredibly low bass note... it was obviously Tim who sang that part. There was some subharmonics utilized by Tim on that last note. Adam Rupp the beatboxer is so skilled and gifted at his craft... wow! Austin and Avi were outstanding as well... not sure why Rob did not have any solo part in this song. BTW, I enjoy how Schnell reacts to Home Free songs... who also happens to be very attractive. Health, Joy, Peace and Blessings to all!

Rob Lungquist has Swedish herritige(sorry for bad spelling) and also has special to wissel melodies whitch he does often. Austin Brown has an angels voice and also doing outher types of music like "Les misserables" (sorry spelling). Then there is Chris Rupp (adams brother) that started Home Free with him in 2000 in college. Chris left the band in 2016. He is know doing his own things and there are a lott different things. He playes classic piano and done records whit tthat. He done is own written album like pop/rock/country liked songs. Love that one. He has done some hymn albums some christmas things to. Also competing dancing. He also started a new band whit his sister Tristin Rupp and 2 moore. There stile isent one but al done in there own stile al from acapella to songs whit instruments in...al from Hallejula , Elvis,Katy Perry and Brittney Spearrs. So mutch fun. agreed, Scott ( of Pentatonix) and Austin (of Home Free) both have voices like butter, but Avi is velvety, and Tim has a range that most can only dream of. I recently heard Home Frees rendition of Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash. They are dressed like inmates, but the music has a sound that is as soulful as a train whistle!

You're hearing Avi right up to the end, literally setting Tim up for the punctuation note to finish the song. And Tim holds that note for almost ten seconds. Just badass.

I followed Pentatonics (Avi's old group) for years. I love the fact that he removes his RNB soft cap and salutes country western with the cowboy hat. Real Class AVI. My church next

So many great groups out there that you need to discover my favorites are Home Free, Voice Play, Pentatonix, Voctive and the original acapella group Straight No Chaser.

Dear Schnell, that last note is all Tim. You should react to Peter Hollens and Tim Foust Misty Mountains to hear him do it again on the last note and you can also hear him go even lower with just Home Free singing a shorter version of this song on the show Sing Off where they competed and won their season, which was the season after Pentatonix won. As far as my favorite, in 2017 it became & probably will remain the GORGEOUS DIMASH. With the holidays coming up PLEASE remember that Home Free & Pentatonix have a number of holiday & faith songs. 🎶👱‍♀️👗👠👠💓

I would say my all time favorite guitarist is Stevie Ray Vaughn and my favorite vocalist is a relatively unknown guy named Marc Broussard.

He also taught Geoff Castelluci (SP?) to use sub harmonics. Geoff actually has a better range, but all three are insane.

I don't have a single favorite. One of my favorites is Slim Dusty. He's an Aussie county/folk singer.Died around 2003. Songs of his that i like are "Man from Snowy River","Man from Iron Bark","The Only Time a Fisherman Tells the Truth" and "Big John"(not 'Big Bad John') to name a few.

I am a huge, huge fan of Avi’s and really liked his part in this song. His solo stuff is great too. For low notes you should also check out VoicePlay’s“Oogie Boogie Song” cover. The very last note will drop your jaw.

My favorite of all time - Carpenters. Their harmonies....Home Free is just off the charts GREAT. That not at the end was Tim, and he was hitting G1. The beatboxer is Adam Rupp (look for his drum solo video on KZbin....there is a reason he has been dubbed "the freak of nature"....h can producee sounds no other human can.

Kevin Clements funnily enough, when the question was asked about “favourite musician”, I thought deeply for all of 10 seconds before coming up with Karen Carpenter. Her vocals have (IMO) still never been matched or surpassed for clarity and gorgeous tonality.

@@mikepope9503 yes sir, and missed so much. She was known as one-take Karen....sh often didn't need a 2nd take on recording a song. I also thought about Patsy Cline too - what a great & emotive singer she was too
