So many thoughts about this video. So glad the shaft seal works. Amazed at all the birds you get to see. You need a birders list. Jenn is looking more relaxed with each episode. Someone needs to make an app that tells all the open hours of places on the loop. The camera work and editing of this one was beyond good. Dingy practice was funny!

The large fishing boats you saw around Reedville were part of the Menhaden fleet. Part of a dwindling industry but a large local employer for folks. Menhaden, a very oily fish, are not usually eaten by humans; but used in other products. I have seen the Reedville fleet in the Bay and off the coast of North Carolina. Nice video, thanks.

Do most small towns shut down on Mondays? I appreciate retail places that give employees a weekend off. Or at least one day and that seems to make sense since the weekend at the shore is probably busier. Congrats on the no leak!
@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
I think most of these towns were closed Monday-Thursday mainly because they don't get enough traffic, especially because we were visiting in the fringe season. Totally agree about employees getting time off!

Dumb question? Is there a difference in MPG towing and or loading aboard the dingy?
@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
Maybe like .1 or .2 less? We never calculated exactly it because it is really hard to tell that level of detail on our boat (i.e. our fuel is measured by just sight guages). I bet if we had some digital gauges and measurements, we could tell. Definitely not a dumb question!
