There are acedamic advisors, teachers, and NGO out there who specialize in helping students to get scholarships. In a sense, many of these brats get the scholarships only because they know how to do the paperwork, while intelligent, talented students may miss out because they're left out of the loop. There is a discrimination here because when there is a third party involved, it also means there is biased. Just because some brats get good grades from their liberal teachers, it doesn't mean that they're intelligent, educated, knowledgeable. If anything, I think this scholarship system is another scam. They take people money to fund their minions. Donors should only donate directly to the candidate they personally know in some level. Not just trusting organizations with their money. Too many organizations having agenda, crazy agenda.

Depending on the subject (critical race theory is not what I consider a subject that provides any value), generally reading and studying on your own without the guidance of someone versed in the material will only get you so far.
