Thanks for sharing! We only have 30 days left of school for our son before the summer break. Luckily our son qualifies for Extended School Year so he gets a little bit of a summer program which is good because nearly 3 months off last year for summer was ROUGH! Thanks for sharing your experiences, it makes me feel less alone! 💞

How sweet is your family. I love the bunny pancakes and all the interactions with the kids. The affection and smiles were beautiful. I know it's not always joy. Your thoughts about ipads are so accurate. I feel like if it helps your child with regulation..why not. ❤❤

So I was curious if you have ever considered getting him a cubby bed? We are looking into getting one for my son because he elopes and he sleeps so much better when he is contained in his bed at night, he’s currently still in a crib with a crib tent but we have to transition him out of it since he’s getting too big. If he wasn’t contained in his bed at night though he would never sleep. Just didn’t know if it was something you considered? Also YES let’s stop the iPad shaming. Especially for special needs kids who sometimes need that kind of stimulation in order for everyone to be able to function in the home. No shame here!

We have actually considered this, but believe Jacob would become really distressed if he was confined to a bed. This would probably lead to meltdowns for him and not better sleep
