Grew up not far from this school. It's always been wide open as a view from the busy highway. Glad kids were not killed, and that the shooter is deceased. That's my sheriff Honea! He's a good guy and has dealt with several tragic events in Butte County over the last few years. So many wish he'd run for Governor!

Information gleaned from reports seen: 2 students wounded in shooting at CA school. Feather River School of Seventh-Day Adventists, Palermo, Northern California. School opened in 1965, and teaches kindergarten to 8th grade. 35 students were attending school at the time of the shooting, and 2 students were injured. 1 of the injured students was airlifted to hospital. Body of shooter found on the ground by law enforcement with suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound. Students were taken to the *Oroville church of the Nazarene* to be reunited with families. Identity of the shooter not yet released/known. Early reports say that the man did not have a connection to the school, and motives are not known.

This is so crazy. I can't believe this happened here . I'm from Chico but my husband and I moved here to oroville almost 10 yrs ago . Heart breaking.. This kind of stuff doesn't happen here. Crime and evil is taking over so many places. I'm praying for the families..

I LIVE HERE. I have kids and just got a text this afternoon there was another shooting in Oroville at another Christian school. I am pro gun and very anti Kamala for not keeping schools safer. Want to say ty to our fast responding officers.

I drove my kids to school and they took the bus home because of bus bullies. After I dropped them off I prayed in the parking lot. It wasn’t “normal” since my oldest was in middle school. Kids had to practice for such things. We weren’t allowed to home school in the nineties and 2000’s unless you had a teaching credential. Their math skills would have suffered with me. Anytime people knock younger people and call them names I say you don’t know what they went through.

Kory Honea has had an insane amount of stuff go down as sheriff. Oroville dam spillway, multiple fires like the one we lost our home in (Camp), shootings, you name it. I feel for those families dealing with another tragedy that will affect everyone in the community.

Prayers to all involved. I lived in Oroville when I was attending college at Chico State University. Oroville is one of the nuttiest places I have lived. Other than living in the Oroville lake/ Dam area (which I was lucky to reside), there is a lot of depression, drug and alcohol addiction, domestic related issues, theft, and poverty. I transferred schools and left as soon as I could.
