When Burdie mentioned history, I freaked out a little. When it comes to my strength in highschool, I would be a historian. For some reason, I saw many people fail history in my highschool, especially the grade 10 Canadian history since WW1 coarse. I know that not everyone may be a history buff like me, but history matters, I am assuming Burdie must not be a history buff but that's fine if he is not interested, I just find history to be an underrated coarse in my highschool, and should be a mandatory coarse, if not a questionable amount of people would fail the courses for some reason.

Personal list from what lessons I’ve done: 1. IT - we make graphics n stuff in photoshop and bro I love it 2. Computing - trust me this is different, we code shi but it’s below IT bc we also have to learn about CPU and stuff 3. Physics - ok ok is sound like a nerd but like… I wanna know how gravity works ok? It’s epic 4. EP - the religious edu is fine, but EP stands for ethics and philosophy and damn do I love those things. Idk why I didn’t pick sociology for gcse man 5. English language - man im so bad at creative writing but it’s kinda fun most of the time. especially opinionated pieces 6. Maths - not useful irl but you need an A-level in maths to get the job I want later in life so yeah. Kinda mid 7. Chemistry - uhh kinda ok I guess. 8. SMSC - this was basically the sex ed school gave us and it was either fun or awkward 9. Biology - boring. as. hell. but less so 10. Sewing - yes, this was a class we had. Btw sewing, cooking and engineering were all in 1 class, DT and each would be separated every 1/3 of the year 11. English literature - same reasoning as birdie man 12. Engineering - basically woodwork, I am so stressed by it it’s actually unbearable and idk why. It’s not the drills 13. PE - man I hate sports so much I can’t say it with words, the only good thing about is is when u go to the gym and thats mid anyways 14. Geography - boring. as. hell. 15. Cooking - yes it’s useful but its so goddamn stressful I’ve had at least 3 panic attacks because of cooking class and I’m so bad at it anyways 16. Spanish - mother of mercy I hate this so much it’s soooooo freaking boring and almost useless, like I’m gonna order a table at a restaurant in Spain or smthn and thats it. Kill me now JESUS CHRIST I actually made this and it took 20 minutes damn Edit: I forgor 💀 history uhhh it would go just above geography I guess same reason and also my Spanish teacher gives us at least 2 pages of pure, concentrated Spanish homework every week so that might be a contributing factor

I'm currently in my senior year of high school, and my subjects best to worst are as follows: 1. Engineering Design and Development. Its a semester long class about finding a problem we can solve by creating something to solve or improve the base of the problem. By the end of the schoolyear, everyone in groups of 2 or 3 should have created the improved product or solved their problem they had. Last semester I had aerospace engineering which was defintely my favorite class of high school with a teacher that everyone loved, and all my friends were in it. 2. Calculus 2. For me, math comes to me pretty easily. We just finished a unit about finding the volume of an object revilved about an axis. My math teacher is absolutely amazing and everyone loves her. Best math teacher I've ever had. 3. English. My English teacher is awesome, and the class isn't too bad, and I sit with my friends, and what we read is actually interesting/entertaining. The next book we're reading is 1984. 4. Economy. It's boring as hell and can be hard to understand at times, and the work is meh, but isn't too hard. 5. Social/cultural Anthropology. Class can sometimes be kinda interesting, my teacher is great, my friends are in it, but we get so much homework from it and it takes so long to do, which really brings it down. Also, most of the ethnographies we've read and are reading are sooooo painstakingly long and boring to read. It also has basically zero relation to the career I want in the future which is aerospace/aeronautical engineering. 6. IB Chemistry HL 2. Definitely my hardest class with the hardest homework and quizzes/tests. But at least I have a pretty good teacher and I sit by my friend. I'm in the IBCP program so I also have additional projects in some of the classes. Currently, I have a 4.0 GPA.

I'm not a native English speaker but the fact that natives bash on the English subject while going around not knowing the difference between "your" and "you're" or "there" and "theirs" is why you need a class about your own language Little edit: Ppl say that English actually focuses on literature and it makes me more confused, you are learning about authors and writers, that are probably the best users of a written language and still don't learn from them. The blueprint is there my dude, just make a little effort.

That’s the thing, English class barely teaches the language. Have to agree with the English placement. We had a topic called figurative language and it was the most confusing thing to ever learn. Like why is meiosis a part of figurative language? I thought it's related to biology, not a damn cryptic phrase.
@iamportalmaster11 ай бұрын
Meiosis in figurative language is when you purposefully understate something//imply that it's of lesser significance/size than it really is. In biology, however, it's a type of cell division in which the number of chromosomes in the parent cell are halved and four gamete cells are produced (I didn't actually know the fig. language meaning, I had to Google it).

She got so mad at little me and i came back to he class crying. And you best believe whenever we did those stupid speedtests i was ALWAYS the one with the least answered😭

--FROM MY POLISH SCHOOL-- Math class for me: D tier, Reason: It's only to 100 for me. Polish class: B tier, Reason: These accents (ą, ć, ę, ł, ń, ó, ś, ź, ż) are hard for me, also, I frequently forget dots on the lowercase i, ż, and j. English class: S tier, Reason: I already knew how to speak English, and I'm the best at English. (I do keep getting pluses but I maybe started getting 6's). Also, I do start over speaking English in my school. Gym class: C tier, Reason: I'm the 2nd most slowest runner in P. E. Speech therapy: S tier, Reason: The teacher there was so nice and let me do almost anything. Reading room: D tier, Reason: I did not even read a few times Religion: A tier, Reason: There was a small break before the school bell rings.

Culinary classes were awesome. We did NOTHING but just cooking and eating. We did a block schedule in high school that made classes 90 minutes, but you took them every other day. And classes like Woodshop (and I loved that class) and cooking were amazing as a result. Day 1, we'd get a demonstration, and we'd take notes and the like. Day 2, cooking. It was such a sweet ride. Woodshop? Oh my god, project after project after project? That was the SHIT! I made furniture with my bare hands that I got to take home. I still use them to this day. I wasn't sitting around in a desk, I was moving my hands and legs making stuff that I got to feel like I built. I don't regret a single day of taking those classes. Not. One.

I’m glad Burdie mentioned for public speaking that unless you do a backflip and hit moves like Jagger, ain’t no one gonna remember your presentation, nor are they gonna care. Cause that’s honestly applies to everything in both life and school. In middle school I know a lot of people shit bricks cause they’re scared of reading their presentation aloud or they’re scared there’s an invisible crowd laughing at them all the time but bro, no one gonna give a shit unless you make a fool of yourself. Like I have Autism, so speaking and people in general is already a bit iffy for me, but this mentality has carried me for a while now, and I’m glad it has.

If I had to make a top 3: 1. Science. Especially geology, because it's all about getting to know how the world works. Probably helped by the fact that I've watched a shitton of science documentaries (especially on paleontology and volcanoes). 2. Drama. Acting is hella fun, especially if the teacher's really into it. A huge chunk of my "high school best moments compilation" would probably be from this class, as the people there were fun to be around, and I always fucken nailed it when showtime came around. 3. History. I feel like you hardcore slept on history in this tierlist. Maybe it's because of how my teachers handled it, but finding out about things which happened in the past which are still affecting us to this day is interesting, and the activities which simulate historical events were always engaging. Lastly, you can never go wrong with learning about war strategies and tactics from back in the day.
