Great tutorial thanks! Not as powerful as the Houdini system for sure but does make me wonder whether it's worth really diving into Houdini when C4D is bringing these features to it's more user friendly eco-system

what do you think about XParticles compared to the new c4d particle system?

I think Maxon is slowly but surely replacing the need for XParticles!

It's the fact, but XP will still be gorgeous for a few years minimum, till Maxon implement "water" stimulation (splash, tendrils, waterfall , river, ocean, cola 😅)

Can C4D be better than Houdini?
@eyedesyn2 ай бұрын
Houdini is on another tier! That being said, you are able to do similar things Houdini can with a fraction of the effort, but Houdini is the cream of the crop when it comes to making incredible simulations. It's power is just on another level!!

C4D is overhyped. and not worth the price. support is shit.. youre better off using other tools. Maxon's glory days are over. Only fanboys and people who has invested way too much $ in it would swear by it. Its time to move on. there are better alternatives for 90% of what you do.
