Excellent recording of the activity although the overgrown state of the track bed does not present a positive image of a major railway hub.👍

This is something which is frequently commented upon and I have often in the past pointed out that Health and Safety regulations prevent spraying within the confines of a station. In the past the tracks have been totally weed free once away from the platforms but I have noticed recently that the problem seems to be spreading out into the countryside and - now that you mention it - it occurs to me that I haven't seen the spraying train even once this summer.

Great video Tim, you always capture the life of the railway and not just the trains. Beautiful. Whatever was up with 34067 didn’t stop her. Those Bullied Pacific’s are workhorses! See you soon, Kate. X

Thank you Kate. As I believe I may have said before - here's to the next time!

It was a very odd route. It would of been better starting at Barnsley, Maybe they thought that would not have the same appeal as starting at Leeds. It looked a better day there than I had. Sunshine and showers turned out to be rain from 11:15 to 5 and not so warm as expected. Whatever the problem with Tangmere she ran well making up time.

Looking at the number of near-empty/half -empty carriages, I suspect they needed as many pick-up points as possible. Weather was dreadful by the time I got back to Dumfries.

Nice Tim. Tangmere on a good run at present and working hard, hope they don't run her into the ground.👍

Let's hope so David!

Tangmere has been a good, reliable locomotive. Compliments to those preservationists that maintain her in mainline condition.

Absolutely. At the moment West Coast Railways would be in dire difficulties without her.

Wcrc dont have many air braked steam loco's. So have to use the same one's all the time.
@schoolshorts4 ай бұрын
We understand that of course - but from a film-maker's point of view it does make it difficult to maintain the interest level when the same locomotive turns up repeatedly. We do appreciate the efforts of the WCR team and are grateful to have so many charter trains to film here at Carlisle.

I carnt understand west coast why are they not fitting air breaks to moore of threre steam locomotives

I'm afraid I can't provide an answer to that one - you'd need to ask someone from WCR.
