I really appreciate that you put these up for FREE!! Unbelievable learning that I wish I desired when I was younger. Now that I am older I value being able to bash my own thoughts against some of the great thinkers of the past. I cherish this. Thank you 🙏

it would have been better not to have been born, but since we’re here it is better that we have watched these videos

Thank you for spending your valuable time to put these videos together for the rest of us who need some explanation from the learned such as yourself to fully grasp this stuff.

Thank you so much for all your Schopenhauer output. It has inspired me to obtain the two volumes of Parerga and Paralipomena in the Cambridge Edition, to add to my old Penguin Classics selection of Essays and Aphorisms. One may not always agree with Schopenhauer from our 21st century perspective, but his clarity of expression and reasoning demands attention and mostly agreement. His width of knowledge of earlier thinkers and in particular his incorporating of wisdom from the Vedas and Buddhism makes him worthy of study by any modern student. Also, for a “pessimist”, he is very witty.

It must be good also for yourself to accomplish the making of these very valuable videos, in that you get to voice the work at your leisure, yet having a certain amount of pressure to bare to get it right. He must have been an amazing man to be in the presence of, what a paradox.

Forcing innocent children into this hell for the selfish reason of using them as a source of joy and meaning for yourself is just beyond unecceptable. I do understand though that having children is instictive and a part of human nature, and those who already had them have no option but to cope with their decisions.

Parenting sort of makes you an accomplice to all of Life's crimes, doesn't it? That said, just what drive does the begetting of children satisfy? Could it be that what is really being accomplished here isn't the continuation of our family lines, but that the infliction of inescapable pain and suffering on another generation of victims through the crime of birth allows us mitigate our own unfulfilled thirsts for revenge against Life? Ressentiment par excellence?

Eventually, some of us realize that this material realm of learning and consequences is a time prison. You determine the length of your sentence. But first comes the realization.. or not. And you go around again...
