This beautiful work was dismissed curiously by musicologist Erwin Ratz in Universal Edition's Urtext edition of teh completed Schubert piano sonatas.

@@MaxUriarte Indeed. But in the excellent commentary at the beginning, he is curiously dismissive of this lovely sonata.

@@marksmale827 Yes, he just says one phrase about it... Erwin Ratz was the Music Theory teacher of my piano teacher in Zurich and was too the composition teacher of my Formanalyse's teacher in Vienna, Karl Heinz Füssl -the Chef editor of Universal Edition...
