Definitely a fantastic lightweight rifle in the legendary quality of Schultz & Larsen. I am the happy owner of a 6.5 x 55 caliber Victory model. I consider myself a capable shooter, but no doubt my rifle is much, much more accurate than I am. Schultz & Larsen make the most amazing rifles at competitive prices. A greeting from Denmark :-)

I have a Victory in .243 & I should have two more by the middle of next week, one in 22-250 & the other in .270 :-) I've an Africa trip in the early planning stages & will look at adding 375 Ruger barrel, bolt & magazine for use then.

The Best small action bolt rifle in the world! Maybe one day they will be able to make an option in 6,5 Grendel.

Very nice video, very informative. As a left handed shooter I'm concidering buying one.

Hi. Currently the Legacy is only available in right-hand. I'm not too sure whether there are plans for S&L to produce a left-hand model, but the Victory and Classic models are both available in left-hand.

@@alanrhonemedia I though the left handed version was available since end of 2016. From their website: "Schultz & Larsen Legacy is available immediately in a right-handed version and a full left-handed version is planned for the end of 2016."

@@VampireTech-aka-Feds I believe this never went through as planned due to demand of the left-hand model was too low. I'd never say never, but at the current time, there aren't any plans to revisit this just yet. Sorry to disappoint.

@@alanrhonemedia That's too bad, guess I'll have to get a Tikka then.

Hi, the .204 Ruger barrel is available for the Legacy but currently out of stock. If you have any questions about delivery times, feel free to drop us an email at sales@alanrhone.com as we would have to contact S&L Denmark for more information.

Sir, the two barrel screw just tighten the barrel with the receiver. What about the effective of this tighten method compared with traditional barrel-receiver?
@alanrhonemedia4 жыл бұрын
There is nothing lost with accuracy using this method as opposed to a non-switch barrel rifle. The two screws holding the barrel inside the receiver have an incredible amount of locking tension so the barrel will not move. The barrel cannot rotate due to the locating tenon inside the receiver, plus the bolt head locks into the barrel once the bolt is closed. The design of the Schultz & Larsen is extremely accurate and this feature to remove and reattach the barrel does not lose anything from the accuracy.

Do you have torque values for both barrel & action screws? For that matter do you have torque values for the slide & lock rings too (I used 16in/lbs on my last set)?
@alanrhonemedia5 жыл бұрын
We don't have any specific torque measurements for the rifle as there are a number of variables which can effect the tension. We tend to give the general "1/4 turn to nip it up tight" phrase when it comes to the barrel and action screws as it's a good rule of thumb to use if you don't have access to a torque wrench. The scope mount screws which clamp to the rifle are much the same, whereas the ring cap screws for the scope tube do vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. So it can become difficult to suggest a tension for one scope, when it may damage the tube on another.

What grade is this stock?

I think this particular stock was a Grade 3. You will usually see the Red/Orange Pad fitted to grade 3 and upwards.
