You can feel his same love for the music as when a young man. His Grieg and Tchaikovsky were very entusiastic also. I still cherish that purchase.

40 years ago or more I bought a 2 disc lp of Freire's concerto recordings on Columbia. His recording of this w/ Rudolf Kempe was b in my falling in love with the classics. He's much older here, but it brings me back to those days. Can't find the recordings on KZbin. He's always gotten short shrift in my opinion.

Um dos concertos pra piano e orquestra mais belos já escritos. Foi a partir desse concerto que me encantei por Robert Schumann. E nessa apresentação o Nelson Freire não sai por menos na expressão, muito bom.
