for me the flex is way better, the f7 just felt tight all around and i felt the contact more, i think the f7's are more built for a tall/slender head whereas the flex is different. i play safety and linebacker btw and a bit of receiver

My head is big & fat but the f7 fits snug it’s just you feel everything in the helmet. When you run, for me when I’m kickstepping. Whereas the flex, everything is smooth & I don’t feel nothing.

I play over in Australia, and ive been wearing second hand schutts for EVER, i definitely get what you mean about the sweat thing! I play Right Tackle. I think you may have sold me on the Riddell. I also recently spray painted a bunch of helmets for the boys and as much as the shutts were EASIER to take apart and paint, the level of padding and comfort in the riddells made up for it i think.

I spray painted my speedflex black since I work at a paint store. It’s cool having 2 separate kinds of helmets to see the comfort, padding and durability of the helmet. Being comfortable and looking good play a part with me. Glad I could help in your decision

My son will be a freshman in high school this fall...he's been wearing a speedflex but the school issues F7s. He plays CB and rotates at TB. What makes you feel safer rocking the F7?

I play oline and dline, I’ve worn both helmets and the speedflex is my favorite i don’t feel then contact and the helmet is very comfortable

As a Tight End I prefer the Speedflex since my position is really mixed they work the same for me so then it came down to which one looked cooler which I choose the speedflex.

Speedflex does look cooler but that F7 and the old school look has been having me wearing my F7 for 9 of my 11 games so far

So in middle school I had a speed and it wasn’t the best as when I hit someone I felt everything with it but I’m fortunate to be at a good funded school with speed flex and f7 for freshmen I got the speed flex and this is the first time I’m wearing a speed flex

f7 speedflex will look wide on you’re head. and since you’re slender the f7 is also lighter, f7 the goat

Gotta make sure you get the right size helmet. Heads are circumferenced different for helmet so you can be a large in one and a medium in another. Like I feel i can fit a large in a speedflex but i have a XL

I wore the speed flex for one year I liked it but I like the F7 more because it is a little more protective and I don’t really like the cam loc that much

Yeah you can but the F7 it’s it has more safety than the flex and I feel like the F7 fits me a bit better than a speed flex

The thing with the flex is that your have to wash the liner every like 2 weeks because but what I really like about the F7 is that after you use it I grab a towel and clean the sweat of the helmet boom good for next time I use it

You feel the hit more in a F7. A speedflex has so much more padding and cushion it’s underrated

I would recommend the Speedflex but the F7 could be good for you as well. You see alot of WRs these days wear F7s and alot of RBs wear Speedflexes. It’s your call brother but I say Speedflex

Thanks for this video and hello from Russia :D I have one more question - which helmet heats up faster from the sun? i mean which paint - matte or gloss? bcs i need black helmet and i think matte black - very strongly absorbs the heat of the sun, so that the head can be fried inside in summer...

Our black helmets are matte black, our blue helmets are a metallic blue. I ain’t gonna lie the speedflex absorbs heat because of all the padding and the F7 just has the sweat dripping down your face. I wear bandanas, durags or a head cap when i wear a helmet so it can stop some of the sweat. Our last 5 games have been in 90+ degree weather so yeah

Your F7 too small, it's sitting to high up on your head from the look of the video; you probably need the X-Large plus F7.
