5 THINGS I LOVE and HATE about the 2022 GMC SIERRA AT4X!

Here are 5 things that I love and don't love ("hate") about the 2022 GMC Sierra AT4X. I spent a week with this car and even took it off-road so I had a pretty good idea on what I really enjoyed and what I didn't. I discuss interior and exterior appearance, amenities, ride quality, off-road capabilities, infotainment screens and much more! No car is perfect so I had to point out some things I wish were a little better but overall I was very impressed with the 2022 GMC Sierra AT4X and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for an ultra luxurious off road pickup truck.

I’m actually about to preorder a 2024 Ultimate HD, or AT4X HD. Preorders for the AT4X HD haven’t began, but looking at the 1500 siblings, I’m beginning to think that getting the SCA lift on the Ultimate may be the way to go. It looks like there are electrical cables connecting to the shocks on the truck you reviewed. Is that correct? If so, it wouldn’t make sense to rip those out.

Thanks for the vid. Just picked one of these up. I'm impressed by how intuitive all the tech is - it seems to know in advance what I want to see on the screens and the geofencing and overall software configurability is great. There's a way to close the tailgate that's really easy and avoids the issues you described, but no you can't just stand in the middle and push it up. Some of the switches (gearshift) feel a bit hollow and plasticy. I do wish you could get the CarbonPro bed. Since I live in a small town I have zero use for SuperCruise and that system only works on highways in any case. Love the looks of this truck.

Love it Agree with you Wish it had semi-autonomous driving Wish it had a “more fun” engine (supercharger) And I do not like the Google assistant. Slow and glitchy. The map just stutters in place and I think the computer is just a touch laggy/slow

Nice video.. What about fuel economy? love/hate? compared with other brands.. Sierra/Silverado offered the LESS..

Good question! So it depends on which competitor you compare this to. If you compare it to something like a Ford Raptor or Ram TRX, this thing is about the same or better but if you compare it to some of the other engine options from the competitor's this is on the lower end. You can get the Sierra with a lower displacement engine and better fuel economy just not on the AT4X
