I did return my Sunny bike and am waiting on the replacement which should be delivered Sunday. I hope to not have any issues with the new bike. If I do, I think I will try the Echelon Sport or EX3. I was unlucky ordering the IC4 from Amazon. It showed up in a damaged box, and when I opened it, it was clearly used. Zip ties were cut, and the bike was dirty on the bottom like it had been on a dirty floor. I also didn’t see any HR monitor in the box. At least the return to Amazon was easy, other than UPS wouldn’t give a specific time for the pick-up. Anyway, just be aware that this is a possibility if you order from Amazon.

When the IC4 is connected to an app does the same lag exist as you found on the ex4s? I have a lag on my elliptical cadence and it’s bothersome to me. Thank you.

Thanks for your insights. I went with the IC4 and bought through your link. I wanted the Echelon, but it doesn't have a tablet holder, so that really is a deal breaker. I am most concerned about the non auto adjust resistance.

Great videos. Im wanting to get a bike to work with MyWhoosh and Zwift. I have seen a companion app that allows the echelon bikes to be discoverable with zwift/mywhoosh. Does the Schwinn IC4 have that same ability? (with or without a companion app) Would you recommend the Bowflex c7 (basically the c6/ic4 with a screen)? My goal is to play cycling games or ride scenic rides during the winter/bad weather. I'm not a fan of the spin class style videos.

Which might be better for me @ 5’1”? While Schwinn has greater variety in adjustments, cld Echelon possibly fit better given how the handle and seat get closer the lower they are? Does the Echelon manual list min height? Thanks for the great video!

Its super helpful when you give equivalent resistances compared with the Peloton. Max resistance is most important for me and anyone serious about fitness. I can't really afford the Keiser M3i which seems to be king, with Peloron second. I am tying to decide between a Peloton original or Echelon. What resistance on the Keiser M3i would you say is equivalent to the max resistance on the Echelelon 4S, or 5S?

Thanks for you amazing review! From the video the echelon looks like more of a sturdy bike, especially the seat pillar. Is that right? I hear echelon is more of a studio standard bike while IC4 is a home standard bike. So struggling between those two because now costco has it for 799 which is the same price as IC4 now.

Things to mention. EX4s is pretty limited without a subscription. It can be bypassed to use peleton and other apps too but the tablet is of course low quality so it remains to be seen how it performs. At $500 which is the current sale price these are literal bargains compared peleton. The bowflex ic7 went for $280 which is insane

Hi, great video again. As a complete novice to the indoor biking world, these videos are greatly helping me narrow my choice down. Have a quick question on the Ex-3 vs Ex-4, as we only have the Ex-3 available in the UK. Is there much difference in performance or resistance vs the Ex-4? Or is it simply just missing out on the screen? Keep up the great work!

Now I am so torn. I picked up the IC4 for $799 on the Best Buy flash sale day and it’s in the garage boxed for Christmas. That said the EX4s looks to me to essentially be the same specs as the 5s with two exceptions, handle bar adjustment and the screen size. My main concern is cadence. Help!!! If you don’t know how you’ll like echelon vs peloton what do you do??

And I know this is a big difference, do you have any experience with the higher-end Sunny bikes on Amazon (especially in comparison to the Echelon)? I like the idea of buying from Costco because of their customer service and warranties.

Def will work, need a second screen and peloton digital though. I am planning on buying more sunny bikes, the 1805 and synergy pro are on my list, I like sunny

@@kristinaj.5836 Hi Kristina..... I have an Echelon Connect Sport.... It's less expensive at $500 (and comes w/ 6 months of the echelon subscription if you buy thru Walmart).... I wanted a bike I could connect the Peloton app to... the Echelon's with the monitors force you into using the Echelon app. Just my 2 cents. Good luck to you!

The cadence display delay... I wonder if it matters. He went from stationary to moving so there's a lot of relative accelleration and any reading taken during that time would be meaningless as there's no consistent cadence - it's 0, then 10, then 20... not useful info. Cadence is most accutately measured based on sample size >1. What would be more interesting/valid was how long it takes to respond to a CHANGE in cadence, not from a cold start. Even then though, I'm not sure 5 seconds delay matters too much. n.b. I just bought the EX4s+ from Costco for $499+TAX including 1 year's membership so if I make good use of the classes, the bike is effectively free :-) Seemed like an amazong bargain - the + has a 15" screen !

The Schwinn bike now includes a one year JRNY membership free but the bike price has increased $100, from $899 to $999 and the membership is valued at $149. So this additional package deal is worth $49. The Echelon EX-4S now costs $1099.99, no additional features just increased price...probably due to supply/demand. Annoying!

I tried out the ic4 and the echelon in the stores. The ic4 seat bar and handle bars rattles slightly when riding. I've seen that on some other reviews. That would get annoying. Edge to echelon. Plus I think I'm too tall for the Schwinn
