More About Iteration 1:
Anna wakes up in a strange white room. She has 60 seconds to escape, and when the timer hits zero she drops dead, only to reawaken in the same room, alongside a shadowy impression of her previous self. Stuck on repeat, Anna must think ahead and learn from her mistakes to solve a series of puzzles and escape this dystopian maze with the help of her past lives.

The axe becoming available should be a huge clue!! Going from room to room is NOT the way out. The axe gives them the ability to bypass the "puzzles" by breaking through the walls. If there are "endless" rooms, no matter how fast they chop or how many of them are chopping, they will never chop fast enough. THEREFORE, the axe proves the room puzzles are not a solution but a mere distraction... the way out... is UP!! CLIMB THAT TREE!!

Seems to be symbolic of our daily rat races in which we run around in circles trying to find a meaning or a way of escape. We do the wrong things over and over until we eventually learn from our mistakes which only leads us to the next challenge. If we are lucky enough to find someone along the way, we can work together toward common goals. The truth is, no matter how many problems we figure out, there will always be more, and regardless of how far we get, we all eventually run out of time. I think the moral of the story is; enjoy your life while you can and use your time wisely or you might end up spending your whole life "popping balloons" for no reason.. Unless, of course, you enjoy "popping balloons". In which case, pop them all you want!!! It's your time.. Spend it how you like! - CHEERS!

The actress is phenomenal. She got me well-invested into her character as this puzzle solving heroine like Chell in Portal. I have to admit, I have a soft spot for puzzle solving and video games... made me fell inlove with her quickly with the 'player one' antics one is supposed to experience when playing progression type games with simple rules but with diverse challenges and having moments that sometimes makes you question your actions and the game itself but you still end up grinding up the levels. That quirky nature of the whole film itself is just wow... unfortunately this will only make me watch more videos on this channel. Curse you, DUST!

or Ground Hog's Day. I'm not a fan of that brainwashed, scientologist mouthpiece, of puppet you all call tom cruise. I don't like anything about him. Especially how he treats his exes. Brainwashed his children so that they would have nothing to do with their mother, all while getting a divorce. If the average Joe did that, the judge would have thrown the book at him and awarded custody to the mother by default. But because he was rich and had the full force of the church of scientology (a brainwashing, morally bankrupt cult that uses underhanded and illegal practices to coerce their opponents into leaving them alone and/or giving them what they want,) he got away with it and Nicole Kidman got screwed over, royally. You want to know what a complete ass he is, just watch some of the vids that have come out about scientology. FYI: Note how I used capital letters for Nicole and Ground Hog's Day, but not tom cruise, scientology, nor church of scientology. It's not a typo, it's intentional and an intentional sign of total disrespect. I believe scientology to be dangerous and they have certainly shown no concern about destroying families through their destructive brainwashing methodology. I think the best thing that could be done there, is to raid them, take all the members and put through a psych eval, then through a deprogramming treatment if necessary. The leaders who are responsible for the brainwashing should be jailed. That entire religion was the brainchild of l. ron. hubbard. He was a Sci-Fi writer, who dishonorably discharged from the navy after he mistook a part of Mexico as an enemy and opened fire on Mexico. Before that he had opened fire floating logs and other harmless debris, believing he was firing on an enemy. He was obviously a deranged and troubled person. He made up that religion using nothing but his imagination and convinced people that they are all infested with spirits of evil aliens who flew around in space ships that look exactly like a DC-10 aircraft, called thetans (named after the ancient Greek letter theta.) Also, unlike other religions, you need to pay to be taught the next level towards your ascension, which they call clear (meaning you're clear of thetans,) but there is always some new, more powerful thetan that needs to be cleared, which costs more money with each level and the teachings of which, get more and more absurd. Sorry. I tend to go off on tangents...

Well it was either that or wall plus axe, as we saw. Not sure what your point is really. An axe is a tool, it is within human nature to recognise patterns and we recognise what an axe is for.
@TragerM
@TragerM 5 жыл бұрын
The audience, which is us, is seeing it from the outside in. She is the one on the inside and some what the previous iterations taught her, you take the tool and you interact with what is there. She didn't know any better until a couple of iterations later. Regardless she did learn and that was the point for that room I suppose

She is no different from a computer animation locked inside a game (like Sonic the Hedgehog). They have 60 seconds to complete each task, or they go back to the start. If they succeed to the next level the 60 second count starts again, or maybe it doubles. The player (or the girl animation) would feel a sense of accomplishment at the presence of other clone animations helping her, and then a sense of accomplishment in succeeding to the next level, and then again a sense of accomplishment that there are other people (like the guy) who she has the possibility of meeting, and so the game goes on. All such games are ultimately pointless as all you succeed in doing is starting again at a higher level, where the task may be more difficult, but that thrill of having succeeded is what keeps the game alive. Notice that she asked him his score (62) and told him hers (20) This was one of the better DUST videos I have seen so far.

9:12 so relatable! It took quite a while to see where they were going with this, but in the end I see some of the best commentary on life I've ever seen put on film. Stuck in an infinite loop, once you fulfill one "challenge" in life you're just faced another one, all with no end goal, at least not one our capitalist society that glorifies working ourselves to death promotes. To get anything from life we must bust our way out to find some meaning somehow.

Wow! I was just agreeing with another post from 3 years ago on how they should climb the tree: I think they should do that After finding each other by breaking through walls. After all, we’re a combination of pack/herd animals & we need all need help. But I was so caught up in the drama I hadn’t thought, yep, that’s all of us in this life, sometimes trying to work out the seemingly random details & connections, sometimes bashing futilely away with brute force, sometimes giving up & going: “Nah! F**K It!!!” before getting up again with renewed vigor. And sometimes, just Sometimes- we see All the Connections, like we’re getting a glimpse behind the curtain at the inner-workings of the Universe & (just for a second) we See (& Understand) Everything. And then it all goes away & we go back to putting our heads down & bashing through walls & not understanding Anything!

It's like life lessons, until we learn it we keep on doing the same thing... Life is somewhat MYSTERY and HISTORY... Sometimes we have to learn from our own, sometimes from life of others... But the truth you have to live the life... We can't hide or escape from what is happening... Whatever has to happen definitely it will happen...but it all for the good, it ends well if we make it perfect.. 🙂🌷

I struggle with this myself but I guess instead of searching for a way "out of life" we could be completely immersed IN life. Completely aware of the magic of life, of every moment, every sound, every sensory feeling or emotional feeling, to truly be alive and to also really feel alive, what it's like to live and feel. Or like in the film to be truly immersed in something, life solving the problem in every room for them.

Arlington Steward: Your home is a box. Your car is a box on wheels. You drive to work in it. You drive home in it. You sit in your home, staring into a box. How much of it is chance and do you like yourself enough to join in with what you have done before. You were, and have been, always mindful of helping the you that would progress. Otherwise you must start over. It was encouraging.
