This was lovely! I’ve been in-love married twice, with four extremely loved daughters (two grown, two elementary students) and as happy as I’ve ever been. The story you’ve built is a rare piece that can explain real love. Actually “I’d rather be bleeding than seeing you bleed” love. Thank you, I know it was hard work and it’s on its way to be very appreciated! Both actors deserve massive kudos, beautiful, real, relatable feelings right at the skin!

I've been a fan of DUST for a few years now and have seen most of their Scifi shorts. With that said, This short film is now absolutely in the top 3 of my all time favs. Within 9 minutes, the creator of the short, Lovina Yavari, has established fully actualized characters with depth and emotion, all set place in a believable world. Political points have been made, new concepts introduced, and a well thought out twist that makes sense in a sci-fi-fantasy. The acting is superb, so natural that we can relate and so within seconds we are invested in the character's journey. I have given up on high budget mainstream shows because they fail to do this and yet this 9 Minute short nails it. Not to mention the set design, felt so real that when I initially watched this short I had strange dreams about it for days. I hope to see more from this production team!!! With elements of feminism, racial equality, and support of LGBT I know they have the right minset to create relevant and epic content. Thanks DUST for hosting this film, love love love it.

Souls are not just mentioned, but an essential part of this short film's plot. By definition, the physical world consists of everything that follows natural laws. By definition, the spiritual world consists of everything not material that makes physical world things behave against natural laws. An obvious contradiction that renders the spiritual world an empty set.
@gothboschincarnate39312 жыл бұрын
If one is to understand the great mystery....one must understand that were greater then the sum of our parts and that the natural physical laws actual spring from and are governed by the metaphysical.
@wafikiri_2 жыл бұрын
@@gothboschincarnate3931 You don't seem to know what metaphysical really means. Metaphysics is not grounded on reality. It's just philosophical. You cannot ground theories on thin air. One must NOT understand that we're greater than the sum of our parts. What we SHOULD understand is how the sum of our parts makes things like, e.g., life and mind surface. The natural physical laws just exist, they are not governed by anything. They are just the way material things behave. They make the material world a closed system, one that admits no interference from other worlds. That's what makes the spiritual world empty. Life surfaces from chemical elements because of their mutual relations, relations that permit that elements form molecules and molecules interact in what are called chemical pathways. Complex interactions. Not so long ago, people could not explain such complexity and believed a mysterious 'force of life' had to be present for there to be life. Now we know better. Before that, people also believed in a 'spirit of fire' that made things burn. No longer. Nowadays, most people believe there is a mysterious 'soul' that animates humans and lets them think and feel emotions. Also this belief will change. Myself, I've solved how brains manage to model an individual's environment (body included) into inter-related concepts, thus generating understanding, how such a model organizes memory, and even how and why brains create fiction; and why and what for emotions arise from nervous systems (emotions, called 'affection' in neuro-science, are the bodily manifestations of the classification of current states of the environment into different situations: a final stage, the highest level of environment modeling in animals). Of course, it is all grounded on the material world, nothing else is necessary. I'm writing an article on that, 'The Texture of Cognition.' When people learn the whys and hows, they no longer have any need to believe in mysterious, unexplained, unexplaining artifacts.
