Lucian always knew about the creatures, he tried exposing them but the company he worked for killed his daughter, upon realizing this he took it upon himself to ensure it happened to no one else who knew of the creatures existence so when accident occurred, he made sure everyone believed it was a technical failure when he actually knew the creatures were comming, when everyone saw and realized they were being hunted Cpt.lucian was going to make sure the secret didnt get out so he placed his finger on the cracked glass to kill everyone and himself but gained realization and decided to let everyone live with what they knew hence why he placed himself in danger after the midpoint station, he was aboard the rebock station when it was attacked and saw the creatures, he was going to kill the last survivors in midpoint station to ensure what happened to his daughter didnt happen to the survivors families, Cpt. Lucian deserves some respect

It was released in March I think, it was one of the last Fox releases before Disney took them over. They were dumping any films they had filmed and were obligated to released at that time. It could have been more successful if better promoted or released in the usual heavier traffic Summer, but I liked it despite its limitations. It reminded me of thew much better ones Alien and The Abyss in some scenes.

Now I understand that movies must elongate momentary effects (i.e. by repeating or slowing them down) so you actually "see something" but people are simply not aware the kind of pressure at the seabed at thousands of meters below the surface. This kind of base would be pressurized to the same pressure as its surroundings, so there would be no danger of getting destroyed by pressure in the first place. Cracks wouldn't mean much. There would probably be only one pressure chamber in which they would spend time before and after coming from the surface, adjusting themselves to new pressure

You can't actually "build" anything under such crushing pressure at that depth. Good luck trying to flush the water out to put air into those buildings. What they do is drop/lower down the pre-built buildings one module by one module and then slowly attach them section by section

Actually it's not. Two reasons why: 1. It discredits the artistry. The men and women who work at fulfilling a dream, and idea, are dedicated in seeing a vision come to life, all of a sudden become expandable, to the point of obsolete. That's not fair to everyone who was a part of the birth of the film. 2. These abbreviated versions of a film are no different than the shadows on wall of the cave allegory...we are only experiencing the film the through the narration of the speaker. The words could be changed, meaning the entire film could be changed, meaning you are being robbed of your own personal experience and understanding...if we give up the imagination, we have nothing left. This technique of indoctrination is called controlled propaganda. It's the same thing that both Germany and Russia used to control the citizens of their countries. All the old techniques used then are not so old now. With each unchallenged change, we get sucked into a deeper level of MKUltra. Realize before it's to late.
