just a question at 5:40, would that be 5-oxopentanoic acid as the carbonyl group is apart of the main chain?

Yes, you're right! When the CHO group is at the end of the main carbon chain, the prefix is oxo-. When the CHO group is attached to the main carbon chain, the prefix is formyl-

alkanals and alkanones can form H-bond with water making them soluble in waters you're wrong when you compare the BP and MP of alkanals and alkanones to carboxylic acid and you said they can't form H- BOND
