I’m at this point in life where I am searching for answers I started not to watch this when I saw the time on it but I’m glad I did. Thank you for this video it’s like every question were spot on.

Meyer looks like he's going through some hard things in life here... a lot of sadness in his eyes. Wishing him the best. He's changed my life.

It's quite possible that he's suffering a very severe migraine attack that affects his speech and eyesight . He has learnt to continue lecturing during these onslaughts as he's determined that they don't prevent him from finishing talks . You'll see him occasionally struggling but he will carry on regardless .

After actually watching it I don’t think he is sad at all . He is probably very busy and super tired he keeps rubbing his eyes and forcing them to stay open lol

He also gets really bad migraines sometimes. :( watched him in a debate with Lawrence krauss and he was able trouble seeing, speaking, and thinking clearly

I found a limerick that quite amusingly summarizes Berkeley's philosophy and this gentleman 's KZbin. Note that the term "quad," as an area of land, has historically symbolized colleges and universities in Europe and here in the US. And if you read the Limerick with a slight Irish brogue, you'll be even more amused. Keep in mind that if you don't want to read Berkeley or listen to this gentleman's ideas about intelligent design, these five line stanzas do the work of hundreds of pages of the Bishop and hours of this KZbin. The limerick goes like this. There was a young man who said, God must find it exceedingly odd To think that the tree Should continue to be When there's no one about in the quad. Reply: Dear Sir: Your astonishment's odd; I am always about in the quad And that's why the tree Will continue to be Since observed by Yours faithfully, God.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." This is a cut flower statement. It requires connection to a Creator for validation. (Franklin would have used the word "men" in the sense of humanity). If everyone is created by a common Father, we are all brothers and sisters, loved equally. In a family one child may have Downs Syndrome while another may be a billionaire. The power differential is immaterial to a Being who can speak a Universe into existence. He loves all his children not for their capacities, but because they carry His image.. Hence, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. Substitute random materialism and voila, all gone - down to the world of the Marquis deSade - What IS is right. Nature red in tooth and claw. Truth is replaced by power, liberty is replaced by despotism, science and technology are replaced by abject servility. ie. Woke Postmodern Machiavellianism.

Will check that out - in the meantime, you have a treasure trove of Roger Scruton I have never seen!! Fixed. I don't think the interviewer needed to be excised - the level of the conversation and Scruton's level of engagement indicated the intelligence of the interview.

He seeks truth. If he did the research, I think he would discover that the JW's have the best understanding of the Bible of other religions. They dont teach false doctrines, but stick to Bible truth, just like the 1st century congregation. I dont think any other christian faiths follows the teachings of Christ more closely then they do. @@yuoiyuoi899

It's much cleaner and requires less unsubstantiated theoretical commitment to posit that the universe arose from natural causes than from a "mind." I prioritize parsimony and reducing theoretical commitments in my metaphysics, so I reject Meyer's theory.
