Wait a second, science didn't create them. My choice is opiates but they all have the exact same effect as the natural substance needed to synthesize them: Opium. Having used both, they feel 100 percent the same. Opium, ya know, the stuff that grows right out of the ground and has been making dope-fiends for hundreds of years, quite effectively. Opium latex, extracted from the poppy right out of the dirt, contains a mixture of morphine, codeine, and thebaine, all 100 percent natural. No science needed. Im aware science doesnt make drugs out of thin air, they use or manipulate naturally occurring substances in order to create new synthetic drugs. amphetamines, MDA/MDMA can be made out of ephedrine or safrole im pretty sure, which is derived from plants (Ephedra, Sassafras), but chemistry is involved in the end products creation, or "science". I was just making a joke about being miserable in a society full of "scientific advancements" and "luxuries" that were expected to appreciate, and how people use synthetic drugs that science helped create to tolerate living in a science based society
