I just found out about this author's passing. Although I am deeply saddened by this, I am happy to be able to enjoy and appreciate such wonderful work. RIP Mr. Wordsmith. My condolences to his family and a deep thanks for allowing us to continue to enjoy his wonderful work. One day these stories need to be brought to life in movies or shows. They are excellent and they deserve to be known by everyone.

I don't think that is part of the story, rather the use of AI to generate images for the the story. AI's tend to be woke due to the fact they work on provided input data. The statement "shit in, shit out" has always been true as long as computers have existed.
