I hope this is a reminder to most people on here not to write off players so easily. You have a next-gen guy have a bad major and suddenly he is done, will never win a slam blah blah blah. Tsitsipas is here to stay and majors are surely on his future. 7 weeks after an elbow surgery playing at this level? Even participating felt like a miracle. Amazing courage, congrats to him and if he keeps this type of quality play, I don't think a final against Rafa is off the limits.

Did not expect Tsitsipas to defeat Sinner with such important margin. Reminds me of his best tennis of the past when he was in good shape. His game today was unpredictable with lots of variety and speed. (those fist-pumps of Sinner during his forthcoming defeat, even on the last game of the 3rd set after two breaks, were kind of "denial" of what was happening to him)

@@wisdon I could give you Berrettini potentially, but a good forehand is not about power solely. Kyrgios‘ forehand is not even that good, he can hit it very hard at times but has a terrible return of serve of that wing, a complete lack of footwork and depth, struggles to pass players at the net with it and shanks it a lot. Rublevs fh is very dangerous but one dimensional, zero variation whatsoever, Djokovics is very good and versatile but lacks a bit in power compared to Tsitsipas, Sinners is not on that level yet although it has the potential to become really good. But especially Kyrgios does not even have a very strong fh, smacking one at 170 every now and then does not make it an amazing shot, even Paire does that every now and then…

Great margin and consistency from Mr T! 3 scorchers on the highlights too. Still not sure he has the firepower to overcome Medvedev though. Also his one hander bh and forehand have such flourish on them I worry about mishits compared to Medvedevs blocking. Medvedev only struggled against FAA when in the sun/heat with very bouncy conditions. I think he's possibly a different beast altogether under night match conditions

That's Sinner's biggest weakness right there, he is pretty slow on a court. That's why his game is buillt around the ability to create angle and generate pace from any position on the court. But here he found more than he bargained for on those cross court power exchanges. Tsitsipas was moving and hitting like Federer. It is easy to forget how tall Tsitsipas is. At 1m93 he sits comfortably between Novak and Medvedev.
