I enjoy the "death trap" comments. I heard that about my toyota echo all the time. Well a guy in a new bmw 7 ran a read light and I t boned him. I needed a new crash bar, headlight and hood and popped my bumper back on He needed a trip to the hospital and the vehicle was nearly totaled. I love my death trap :)

too bad the u.s. version gets the larger less fuel efficient engine, and does not come a manual transmission, plus this model will cost more than the yaris hatchback, and the yaris has more room with almost equal fuel economy. what are these folks in japan thinking?

No, it doesn't look better than a smart. Toyota just copied smart with this whole project. This is like a riced out version of a smart. I will laugh if I see anyone driving an iQ that looks like this crappy concept.
