Scion XB Front Strut Bar Install

this episode i scored gold at my local junkyard by grabbing this $30 strut bar and will b be installing it on my 06 scion xb! thanks for watching and enjoi!!

You don't need to do all that, just use a ratcheting wrench

Why would you go through all that trouble and not at least sand it a little and put some paint on it? Every time you remove anything in your engine bay it is an opportunity to clean and polish. Great find!!!

Wow you did that the way. Jack the front till both tires are off the ground take off the three strut mount nuts each side. Struts and studs will drop allowing you to slip in the brace. Push wheels back up realign and install nuts. Recently installed one of these on my wife's Xb.

Thats funny cuz I was thinking on doing it that way but since it's the faster and easier way, I wouldn't really have a video lol

@@cmtravelandcars Also found out the hard way this bar blocks the removal of the stock air box cover if you need to change the filter. LOL junk.

@@bleepnsheep2310 I was able to fish out the air box filter with that bar installed on my XB. Not that bad.

I have the same bar, but mines only has two holes not 3???😮😮😮 I mean where they mount on the strut screws

Found the same one around July and a cold air intake. The intake need some resurfacing because of an accident. Already had a cold air so I’m selling it for the low.

Depends on how you drive your toaster. If you like to throw it into corners to try to tip it over, yes. If not , no. But it still looks cool.

What is the purpose of that bar? I have one installed in my XB.

Few purposes, 1, mostly helps stiffen up the front end, 2, for cosmetic purposes since it looks cool and my favorite i recently was able to jam my taco bell chicken Quesadillas in between the bars and heat them up with the motor LOL
