Even though this is a one-and-done game, it's the closest I've ever gotten to participating in what felt like an unfolding (yet previously unseen) episode of classic Scooby-Doo. Definitely a great experience with the family. (Even better if any of you can do the voices...) Don't be in a rush, carefully (!!) follow ALL the instructions, and you'll have a great time.

We love the "one and done" part. We will play it over and over and my Down's Syndrome son, Christopher, will get the confidence to do it and he will learn all there is to know about this game. He loves Scooby-Doo and has almost all of the Scooby-Doo games and Legos, and play mobile haunted house!!!

I suppose the room cards can only be placed right side up (or North). For example, can I put the music room/bathroom upside down so the door actually leads to the bathroom?

No, you have to place them each right side up.

Hey Shelli, it's really hard to answer that, as how long it takes will depend so much on the players and how long they take with their turns. The box lists it as 60-120 minutes.

It's a pretty big adventure, but it's certainly one that after you're done, you know the puzzles. At that point you can pass it onto a friend as a cool gift.
