You don’t seem to understand. Yes, Scooby is technically more powerful, but that didn’t really matter in the end, because to win a Death Battle, your opponent must die. And since they’re both immortal, that was impossible. Scooby couldn’t kill Courage, and Courage couldn’t kill Scooby, so the battle is a draw.

Death Battle relies on characters crossing lines they would not normally. Usually this applies to killing, for Batman and others like him. In this case, Courage as canon, would never trip up someone innocent to save his own hide.

Scooby and Shaggy are, as you say, not cowards. They're fearful. A coward runs away leaving others in danger to save their own skins. Shag and Scoob may flee in panic and run all around the haunted house/factory/hospital, etc, but they never actually run away and abandon their friends.

Courage would of won If we dont take time travel bs and due Courage being slightly more Broken than Scooby who needs Scooby's Snacks to achive what Courage can do and Courage csn do more than that as seeing in the animation example of Courage breaking the best Scooby can do with a scream and the Dark Matter Meteor is more powerful than the Chest of Demons which only seals it's targets.

They even counted Scooby's gag of Time Travel, due knowing that Courage can break out of the Chest of Demon and Scooby have nothing to put Courage down. Courage is also smarter than Scooby. Fun fact, in their crossover, who was the one who defeated the God like entity? Courage, who also face down and overcomes his own fear, something Scooby has yet done.

In the Scooby episode was with Shagy and the woman, in this Death Battle was a gag version of Scooby and Courage (Forced). Scooby alone cant do that technique, even If he did, Courage can still tank it and survive, like the animation in Death Battle showed, Courage will also laugh at it too (In character) also due the chaos and pain cause.
